Not sure what you're not grasping here. I don't care about Arizona. I care about the 49ers.

If Brock Purdy with Arizona took them to the NFCCG as a rookie, then followed up with the season he had last year in 2023 I sure as hell wouldn't want to get extended.

I rather enjoy seeing them with the faster, stronger armed Kyler Murray who seems to always crash out towards the end of the year.

do you think brock would have taken any team to the NFCCG and SB? like NYG, Carolina or Arizona or others?

This could lead to a holdout by Brock this year. If this happens, I think it is the 100% correct decision by the 49ers, similar to the correct decision which would have been to defer in overtime. Hopefully the 49ers make the correct call this time which is very obvious.

if 6 years $370m is the asking, well i'd draw the line at 5 years 205m. and he can negotiate a deal with his agent with other clubs. that's how you find out another team wants him for $370m or not. what strikes me here is SF is not very creative with their options. they have all but announced he's coming back, shanny saying he's QB for life or something to that effect. so they seem content to pay him and make their bed so to speak. i would seek a team friendly deal or explore other options.

Best thing, let him play out another year.

Great then when he matches the 23 numbers and asks for way more, then you all will be good with paying him the highest salary in the league?

0% chance 9ers are that dumb

I think the weather issues that popped up this season, has them thinking twice.

Bet has to tied to some numbers IMO.

And they'd be gambling like someone mentioned, that he'd have a good season and the price will go up.

Even if the 49ers don't sign him this year and he plays great, I don't think the 49ers will have to worry about Brock signing elsewhere because he has already stated he would like to stay with 49ers and he knows he most likely would not be great on other average teams.

I buy his market value being lower than people here think it is now. That's not going to be* the case if he plays great next year.

Is Brock gonna take a bad team to the nfc title game? No he is not.

Neither is Joe Burrow

On here, probably. It's just easier to laugh at dumb posts than argue.

That's not true Mayo. Some QBs keep it together like my grandma at age 70. Still looked good then
