Ding Ding Ding!!

Making assumptions with no risk is extremely easy while online. The ones that have to actually make these decisions and live or die by them don't have it so easy.

The risk is in not signing Brock to an extension, as he could return to 2023 level while deciding he's not going to stay with the 49ers long-term, sign the franchise tender, and then demand a trade.

There's no risk in signing him to any kind of contract that is realistically what he would get. If he repeats 2024, you draft his replacement. Rookie QB contracts are cheap initially. You wait until you're far enough into Brock's contract to cut or trade him and then you do that.

Who is?

Strwy, you a social path?

On here, probably. It's just easier to laugh at dumb posts than argue.

There you go, buddy. You had me worried there. Carry on.

You don't have to respond to every post.

People act like the 49ers play in 10 snow storm and monsoon games a season. People need to stop with that noise already.

And every quarterback struggles in bad weather.

That's not true Mayo. Some QBs keep it together like my grandma at age 70. Still looked good then

70 is young these days.

Make less stupid post and I won't. (Not you specifically)

The difference with mahomes is he DELIVERS every time they need him. Every big 3rd down or late, despite having maybe the worst tackle combo in the league and very little at wr, he delivers. Stop looking at box scores. Watch the game.

Purdy this year failed every time we needed him to make a play late. I understand it's not all his fault that put them in that position but we needed him to step up vs vikes, failed, rams game 1 late, failed, cards game 1, failed, rams game 2 failed, lions game failed, dolphins game failed.

The difference between mahomes and purdy is people make excuses for mahomes why his NUMBERS aren't great. They don't need to make excuses as to why he missed the playoffs or lost games because he doesn't miss playoffs and doesn't lose many games

Hopefully purdy can drastically improve in that area because with what we're going to be paying him we need more from him or we'll continue to be a fringe playoff team

You mean the refs and Harrison Butker deliver.

Let's swap Andy Reid with Kyle Shanahan, the officiating style, and Jake Moody for Harrison Butker, and then let's see who is "clutch."

Yeah, that throw was about 7-8 yards short of 45 air yards. I'll use JTO's video since you referenced it in an earlier post. Throw is right around the 28 minute mark:

While you're there you can watch the 1st play and another at 7:10. 'This is your weekly Bryce (lol) Purdy refusing to throw the deep pylon and corner'. Note the usage of 'weekly'

I'm not talking about 45 yards from the line of scrimmage. I'm talking about 45 yards from where he's standing.

If you're talking about yards from the line of scrimmage, then he would've needed several yards less than what I said to hit Aiyuk on the deep corner on the play.

Also, Steve Young never hit 45 if we're going off yards from the line of scrimmage as the measurement.

No worries, just a misunderstanding then. Air yards are calculated from the LoS FYI. I obviously wouldn't disagree Brock can throw a ball 45-50 yards from the launch point. That's going to make it more of a ~ 40 air yard throw factoring a usual drop.

I'm pretty sure Brock's longest Air Yard throw was the helmet Aiyuk catch, though I'm not 100 percent positive. That throw looked like everything he had.

This is all beside the point anyway. Like you mentioned in an earlier post, we're not really talking about deep downfield throwing.

News has been slow coming for this Saleh situation, so Strwy is allowed his occasional venting.

He was a 1st OVERALL pick. I'd like to think he had shown some respected level of talent for throwing the football before a team ever selected him.
