Not sure what you're not grasping here. I don't care about Arizona. I care about the 49ers.

If Brock Purdy with Arizona took them to the NFCCG as a rookie, then followed up with the season he had last year in 2023 I sure as hell wouldn't want to get extended.

I rather enjoy seeing them with the faster, stronger armed Kyler Murray who seems to always crash out towards the end of the year.

do you think brock would have taken any team to the NFCCG and SB? like NYG, Carolina or Arizona or others?

Who is?

Strwy, you a social path?

On here, probably. It's just easier to laugh at dumb posts than argue.

You told us that already.

Should I not answer the question?

Different era. Brigham Young was an extremely QB friendly scheme, but the draft was a different process back then. There wasn't even a national combine in 1984.

Young had big numbers in that QB friendly system and the Bengals had the top pick in the draft, coached by Bill Walsh's original protege, Sam Wyche. Wyche, though, was about as downfield a play caller as you'll ever see.

Teams didn't do as much research or nitpicking on prospects back then.

Yea I like the "zip" that Brock can have on his passes, but it's not on Steve Young's level,...lol.
Neither was Young year 3

Bengals?
Brock has not done enough to prove yet he is a franchise QB.

And my biggest argument against "most of his critics" is that all of the perceived deficiencies they believe he has, were not an issue whatsoever in 2022 or in 2023. Like I have said to others, he didnt just forget how to play in a manner that made him great those two years.

NFL defenses adapt. What Brock did in 2022 or 2023 is immaterial in 2025. He needs to get better because defenses figured out how to play 2022 Brock.

And like I asked to others who repeated this, that has yet to be answered.....how is Brock underthrowing wide open receivers deep a reflection of the defense?

He has.

Wasn't that just a draft of USFL players and didn't include college players?

Not to knock on Young.

And what did he prove last year? That he can get last place.

Put the two together and you get AVERAGE QB.

And a Championship game in his first season starting. He did before the kid from the Commanders did it.

He was only average because all his playmakers were hurt.

it proved we need a healthy team also

In the NFL is about how long can a good team stay the most healthy. We failed that part before the season even started

Starting running back not available until mid season. Left tackle, which I think is also very important to a QB, also out most of the year. Not, to mention losing our #1 receiver after a hold out mid season. Not good for any quarterback.

Are you being dumb on purpose? I CARE ABOUT THE 49ers NOT OTHER TEAMS.

Maybe the caps will help…
Kaepernick and Garappolo also took us to championship games and super bowls as well.

Because of Brock's regression last year it makes sense to evaluate him this year to determine if he is franchise caliber material.
