QB Brock Purdy Thread

Unfortunately for Brock, because of his regression last year and last place finish, he holds no leverage with the 49ers. The 49ers have all the leverage and there is no way at this time they are going to pay him.

So, you are saying there is zero chance they sign him.

He is still under contract for another year. If they do pay him to an extended contract, it's not going to be what a lot of people on here are thinking. Brock has no leverage. The 49ers have all the leverage because of his poor performance last year.

Brock has all the leverage. Have you not seen enough mediocre qbs signing outlandish contracts to recognize this?

That trend is coming to an end. The 49ers right now are a bitter organization because of their bad luck, and they are going to play hardball with Brock. Good for them.

It's a different approach that might be better for them.

You said they weren't going to pay him.

I would guess he would get a deal along the lines of Love, maybe Hebert.

I don't think Lynch, Shanny and Paraag are bitter at Brock and I am not sure trends are changing either.

The QB salary escalation may indeed be coming to an end. Salaries are taking huge jumps and the cap isn't really keeping up. QBs are taking larger portions of the cap leaving less for the supportig cast. Eventually it has to slow down.

If that poster said it, we can pretty much guarantee the opposite.

20 million 😂
Brock may even start a trend in which you see the QB no longer being the highest paid player on the team.
