He is still under contract for another year. If they do pay him to an extended contract, it's not going to be what a lot of people on here are thinking. Brock has no leverage. The 49ers have all the leverage because of his poor performance last year.

That trend is coming to an end. The 49ers right now are a bitter organization because of their bad luck, and they are going to play hardball with Brock. Good for them.

The QB salary escalation may indeed be coming to an end. Salaries are taking huge jumps and the cap isn't really keeping up. QBs are taking larger portions of the cap leaving less for the supportig cast. Eventually it has to slow down.
