Edit- let not get caught up in this lol.

It's the same old posters continue to b***h that someone drafted as the last pick of the draft, shouldn't get a piece of the pie.
yet you're agreeing with him lol

Not $10M, but fair market value at the time of negotiations.
you're still agreeing to his logic of not paying purdy, is the point your missing in all of this

I never said don't pay him, just quit b***hing about how much he may make. It's entertainment, it's all wacky there.
b***hing, if you take your head out of your dumb ass.. you will finally figure out i'm for paying Purdy and trying to help your obtuse ass

Cool it. Extended suspensions await people who sound off like this.

I tried to keep it cool, English. I don't know what's up with this guy.

oh cut it out.. you were on board with the biggest Purdy hater here about playing hardball disrespctully to purdy to reset the market. You got upset at I for telling you that guy is not the guy to agree with

Mayo, he is right. You agreed with the biggest Purdy hater on this board (who was advocating we pay him substantially less than the Qb market indicates), and then started telling people to "quit b*tching about what Purdy is going to make."

The two things contradict each other.

I'm a Purdy supporter; whatever he makes he makes.

Jeez this thread has morphed into a pack of screaming women LOL. Kind of embarrassing if u ask me…. Anyways reacting to the headline story of "Fans react to Brock Purdy proposed contract article." Hmmm, contract averaging 49.5 MM a year? I don't think Camp Purdy goes for it. Thoughts?

worrying about what another man gets paid is lowkey juvenile.
Anything above $50M should be HEAVILY incentivized. Purdy is gonna be paid while at the same time I have a hard time believing he'd get much more than $50M per year as a free agent in the open market. A LOT of the NFL believe he's a product of our system even though he makes plays outside of it. I just don't think the league sees Brock as a plug and play on any roster kinda guy. As a result it's understood he needs a LOT around him to compete for a he division let alone a championship and the team is gonna want to save a bit of money in order to pay for that

No it's relevant but no need to get emotional about it…

Solid analysis! I just think Team Purdy is expecting more. It would be great if Purdy nods his head and signs for 50mm. But contract negotiations are never easy for the Niners…

Like ninerfan said, that escalation may be coming to an end.

If that poster said it, we can pretty much guarantee the opposite.

Agree. I see no indication this is going to stop. What team is going to draw a line in the sand and tell their QB no, I'm not going to sign you to big money? A team has to be strong enough to do that, have to be able to weather the fallout, be well coached, have a better QB on deck, and some luck. It's basically a Brock Purdy situation. Kyle and John survived a trade that would get an average coach and GM fired because they had Brock Purdy on deck.

TIL that Allen and Daniels, as well as Jackson, aren't good enough to elevate their teams and aren't good enough to win a SB without a ton of help.

Thanks for explaining why our season was so bad by using AFC and NFC title game results.

LOL thst had nothing to do with my post.

Brock is good enough to win a SB, so is Allen, Jackson and Daniels. They all elevate their teams.
