Brady, Manning, and Mahomes have 12 SB's between them. 13 in 10 days when Mahomes wins again. Montana was from a different era. He had 4.
Of active no SB QB's, Allen has proven he can put up stats and win postseason games without elite pass catchers. Nobody can argue he doesn't make others better.
If Purdy and Allen changed places this year, the Bills are fighting for a top pick. The 49ers might have two losses at most.
Purdy isn't better than Allen, Lamar, Mahomes, Burrow or Daniels. No case can be made.
Stat Paddy Mahomo's offense has been 15th in scoring in 2023 and 2024. His numbers are mediocre across the board, and he finished 40th in air yards per completion (not a misprint).
He made zero impressive plays vs. the Bills, the Xavier Worthy catch should've been intercepted, and led a FG drive and had to rely on his defense getting a stop at the end of the game in order to win it. Had Josh Allen led a TD drive, the Billls would have won the game. Brock did the same thing as Mahomo in the SB, twice, and the defense didn't do what the Queefs' defense did. Should we call Brock amazeballs clutch because of that? I don't think so, and I'm a Purdy fan.
We don't even need to get into the key ref help the Queefs have gotten en route to all of their SB wins.
Also, what the f**k has Jayden Daniels done? Nothing. He had an OK rookie year. He didn't do anything elite. Terry McLaurin is better than every 49er receiver combined.
He got sacked a s**tload of times, which is never a good sign for a QB. See Captain Massage of the Browns.
