4 years - Say $45-$50mm a year with incentives - my ego wouldn't demand top salary as long as their were incentives.
Say -- +$3mm for a winning season, +$3mm for playoffs, +3mm for NFC Championship Game, +5MM for being in a superbowl, +5mm for winning the superbowl. That would total $19mm bonus for a superbowl win in a given season.

Guaranteed money $120mm

LMAO, you most certainly would not. You're a QB in the NFL who has led your team to 2 NFCCGs and 1 SB, yet still paid so poorly that you have a roommate. But you say "what the hell, let's roll it back. I can do this another year, risking injuries or any other variable that could sideline my career."

If you need a roommate on a million a year, well that is another story. Not to mention endorsements. Plus, the roommate was like one of his closest friends. Helping the friend out making peanuts. Not really for himself.

I think he rented his way up to a nice spread-

I'd give a nut to pull in a million a year plus endorsements.

How could he possibly live if not $60m a year. Give me a break. The QB salary marks are out of control.

Because of his current options.

Mike Florio is an idiot. Brock Purdy should be signed.
Is this the norm now? I finally thought we had our franchise QB. But seeing so many he shouldn't be paid this, don't extend him yet, etc.

The problem with that is nobody knows what another team would have offered him because he never hit the market. Except you two who will probably be on here telling us we overpaid.

when we think we have our FQB that's usually when it blows up on us

we did this with BA is my understanding. let the player agent shop the market and find a deal.

As usual, he is brainless and I don't bother reading or listening to his bs. I didn't even click on it. Guy is a d--che.

If ppl wanna be smart and responsible with their money, hey, why not? It's not very American these days to do so though lol

I'm starting to think only way someone can be our franchise QB is to win a Super Bowl.

Whatever that guy says you do this opposite. Been the case for 15+ years. He's dumb.

one key to look for is improvement year over year. they re-aired the eagles SB win and it was an all time great game. foles won a bowl, but he was never FQB even with that amazing game. it takes year over year improvement and consistent domination. it's a what have you done for me lately league, and that's at all positions.
I'm all team Brock but I think the fan base is hoisting him up too high too early. Many of the QBs in compare for salary are not on their number 2 contract and have had multiple contracts to get where their price is. Not that it really matters but looking at the others Dak, Cousins, Baker, you have a pretty good feel who they are as they have been playing for a minute.

Brock has played part of a year, a full excellent season and a pretty average one ala Dak, Cousins and all the rest. It just seems the smart move is to play and go in at $40m to $45m. Prove yourself without a doubt, no questions asked and play it till contract 3 on your poor mans $40m a year plus endorsements salary.

This will go on until he signs. It is not team hate for Brock if you feel he should not be paid at the top of the mountain. It doesn't make sense yet. There is not a single poster on this board who can say without seeing additional work what his true picture is. We don't know. Fact. That does not make a hater.

Pay him on what you've seen so far.
Ok Florio, we've seen him outplay Tua, Brady, Hurts, Love, Stafford, Dak, Lawrence, etc. Post MVP numbers, take apart elite defences. Also, we've seen him elevate his game in the playoffs, where someone like Lamar fails.
We've seen that when he plays average, he was still better than 2/3 of the QBs in the league.

When some of the best QBs ever like Brady, Manning or Warner, praise him, you know that you should extend him, as after next year his price will only rise.
