Remember, we're talking about this season only like you said.
Lets see, since you said i can't use stats... he was more accurate, distributed the ball more, plays better in the pocket, his offense was their best defense (since they had no defense) and he did this with about two games less in passing attempts worth
this is all bs. he melted down in the pocket on multiple occasions. on some level i don't know if detroit leadership even wants this guy anymore. he had a game that went over like chernobyl and it ended their year. they have be asking some questions on that one. he only looks solid or accurate when he's got multiple backs, multiple wrs, a te and an ol that are all cooking their individual matchups. you look at all those other guys winning and give the credit, incorrectly, to goff.
we're talking about the season remember not just one game. Maybe if that game Det had KC's defense, but they don't so they need to get desperate.
KC had a lot more pass attempts and the offense still sputtered to only avg 22 pts a game. That is an unreal number and should lose half of their games
Goff made his team better, PM this year didn't. not sure what's so hard about that
I don't want to turn this into a Mahomes thread but this is crazy talk!
Mahomes, Allen and Lamar have both taken their games to new levels. There are no real holes in their game, it's just about catching them on a bad day and hoping someone else on their team makes a critical mistake.
There is a reason Mahomes' numbers have climbed once Brown came back and after KC traded for Hopkins. That's just another reminder that even someone of his level needs guys around him to be his best self.
Mahomes can make every throw in the game and some that physically shouldn't be able to be made. He is able to read defenses, process quickly and find the right matchup on any given play. He's rarely fooled(but every QB can be gotten time to time)
Time and time again he's proven that he's not phased by late game deficits and has performed big in big moments. In order to be moved off that elite tier he would have to completely break down and stop doing all those things for several seasons in a row.
As for Goff he's a known product as well - nobody was shocked when he wilted under some pressure. He's not a bad QB but you know you can get to him if you can get to his OL.
