KC had a lot more pass attempts and the offense still sputtered to only avg 22 pts a game. That is an unreal number and should win half of their games

Goff made his team better, PM this year didn't. not sure what's so hard about that

lol, beam me up scotty i am leaving this convo

Still flawed, why, not every QB was under the same type of pressure, faced the same defender when QB's mentioned made the same pass. Was the pass all QB's mentioned made on the same set of downs, was the same pass by all QB's mentioned were in the same quarter, meaning not under two minutes? Was said passes made in garbage time? So many factors they're not mentioning that make a QB. Were all QB's O-lineman healthy at the time, were all his receivers healthy at the time. Was the pass made to a starter or was it 3rd or 4th string player taking those snaps?

I watch the games, PFF watches the numbers. They're flawed.

Keffe!!
Great 49ers gift ideas
Purdy get paid yet?

Dude, Goff, saw many ghosts that I don't believe "Patrick" saw this post season. I would defo choose him over "Deer In The Headlights Ryan Gosling". I think Goff's fave energy drink brand is Ghost. He or Sammy D should collab with them.

I need my boy Purdy signed already. We got to get this ship back on course and it starts with getting Dirty extended.

To be fair PFF is complete garbage. So:
#16 Goff: 72.4%, 4,629 yds, 37TDs, 12INT
#6 Mahomes: 67.5% 3,928 yds, 28TDS, 11INT

OK, PFF, you're the BEST!

i can't take serious a straight up stats goff v mahomes convo. mahomes is 10x the QB. 20+ QBs in the league could excel in detroit with what they are cooking with.
if you put PM on another team, he's not winning games. PM in the last two seasons is nowhere near the PM he was in his first two seasons

Come on man...you don't honestly believe this right?

He is signed. Not going anywhere.

Genus….you know why they're not mentioning those facts, it hurts their narrative

no narrative here, other than reality. i was big on brock, and i adjust to new data points as they come in. 2024 was a frustrating season. he was throwing lollipops and rainbows, often over the middle of the field.

I don't believe I've seen you bring up a single play where Brock's arm strength hurt us in a bad way.

Just one...

Until you do that stop bringing up the "throwing lollipops and rainbows over the middle"

Remember, we're talking about this season only like you said.

Lets see, since you said i can't use stats... he was more accurate, distributed the ball more, plays better in the pocket, his offense was their best defense (since they had no defense) and he did this with about two games less in passing attempts worth

this is all bs. he melted down in the pocket on multiple occasions. on some level i don't know if detroit leadership even wants this guy anymore. he had a game that went over like chernobyl and it ended their year. they have be asking some questions on that one. he only looks solid or accurate when he's got multiple backs, multiple wrs, a te and an ol that are all cooking their individual matchups. you look at all those other guys winning and give the credit, incorrectly, to goff.

I don't want to turn this into a Mahomes thread but this is crazy talk!

Mahomes, Allen and Lamar have both taken their games to new levels. There are no real holes in their game, it's just about catching them on a bad day and hoping someone else on their team makes a critical mistake.

There is a reason Mahomes' numbers have climbed once Brown came back and after KC traded for Hopkins. That's just another reminder that even someone of his level needs guys around him to be his best self.

Mahomes can make every throw in the game and some that physically shouldn't be able to be made. He is able to read defenses, process quickly and find the right matchup on any given play. He's rarely fooled(but every QB can be gotten time to time)

Time and time again he's proven that he's not phased by late game deficits and has performed big in big moments. In order to be moved off that elite tier he would have to completely break down and stop doing all those things for several seasons in a row.

As for Goff he's a known product as well - nobody was shocked when he wilted under some pressure. He's not a bad QB but you know you can get to him if you can get to his OL.

Extend him is what I'm talking about. We need to secure him as our franchise Qb and quit f**king around.

Knowing the kind of leader Brock is, I can see him signing a contract that's will be beneficial to our team.
Let's go Brock!!!

This. PM carried by his defense and some luck (and calls) in 2024.

overall i agree. but we're talking about this year only.

in no way has mahomes taken his game to a new level this year with his offense avg 22 points and not having great stats counter that. in no way does KC win without having a great defense. Shoot i think we avg more pts a game. A lot of their games have also been decided by the refs and even in those wins, they could barely scraped by.

not my fault you can't lol, maybe that's why you have a hard time with the QB evaluation/takes

Don't get me wrong.. PM is clutch, but take away that KC defense and Ref calls and KC is not 15-2 this past season

let's hear you. let's hear what you think goff does better than mahomes. all ears my man

It's hard to compare those two imo. Goff's whole offense is predicated off running the ball and using play-action. Over 2,000 of his passing yards came off PA. Mahomes had like 800 yards.

they run different offenses. I mean if we're gonna talk about on target passing, then Geno smith was better than both. Not a single person thinks smith is better than Goff and Mahomes.

Mahomes didn't have to lead the team all yr like he's had to in the past. We all know he has no issue doing it, if that's the requirement. Goff still folds like a lawn chair when pressured, been that way since the Ram days. Mahomes has pretty much been the opposite.
