Comments are getting crazy.

Statistically we were ranked 8th in the league last season in yards both passing and running.

Well how many QB's are there that can carry their team without the other star players? To me there is none. That's me other people may think different and that's ok, but just quit acting like Brock is the only QB in the league that cannot carry his team without star players.

LMAO. There were three teams in the NFL that gave up less points than we did.

We were top 5 I believe in passing yards allowed and middle of the pack in rushing… but here's the thing: yards is one statistical category of many.

We were 29th in points allowed for example. 25th in opponent 3rd down percentage. Bottom 3rd in epa per play.

Our D was not good.

This is the argument when people talk about paying him $50+ million a season.

I've always stayed positive towards players and this team over the years, but I'm not a fan of paying Purdy. I think it will be a huge mistake. We haven't had a franchise QB since Tim Rattay. I need to be damn sure he is a FQB and he's just not imo. I feel like we're still guessing

WTH? I nearly choked to death on my iced tea.

Lol

Um, wat?

Maybe he meant Giovanni Carmazzi.

Like a 60 million dollar QB that is struggling?

Not good, but not bad as well.

With rotating injured DL and 1 one legged LB, the 2024 defense isn't going to carry a offense who couldn't score in the RZ

No, our defense was bad.

That doesn't remove the validity of your second point.

Lol I have a friend who is an eagles fan and for some reason he remembers Tim Rattay. Our inside joke is that he was our last franchise QB. I thought you'd get it

I was hoping it was a joke. The rest of your post made more sense, lol.

The defense was lights out against the Rams during their peak run.. all because of one player.. if we were truly bad we should have been blown out that game and many others

All games our defense played well and most of them they couldn't finish cause we had guys injured or out.

Ok. We're not talking about hypothetical potential when players are healthy and rolling. We're talking about results.

I think Rattay and Carmazzi were in the same draft.

Can you remind me of the 2 TD he missed in the SB?

I can't bring myself to watch the game again

He didn't miss 2 TDs. He made one big mistake in that game and that was not throwing the slant to the hot WR (Aiyuk) on 3rd and 4 at the 2 minute warning. He locked into Jennings and due to another unblocked blitzer, he had no time.

If they convert that first down they likely run the clock out and win the SB.

I don't really put that one on him. Just no time there.

He missed that, and I think there was some other just bad throws that didn't convert 3rd downs.

Sorry, I just saw your reply.

the safety had it covered the whole way and it appears like BA stopped his route. Maybe could've threw it to his outside shoulder?

In your opinion, what is the other missed TD?
Seems like we're blowing up the team and tightening up fiscally. At this point, apply that to the QB too. Just stick to the 45 offered. Or cap it at 50. If he don't like that, then have him play at his 5m still due. Might as well see him play with this neutered roster and see how he and team performs.

It's dumb to be penny pinching everywhere on the roster, and then pay Brock a crazy amount and tie ourselves to him for years, only to miss the playoffs.

im getting 2017/2018 vibes all over again.
