I liked Phoenix, wonder if he got fed up with the negativity on here or something idk.

Nah....he was a casualty of the governmental cutbacks. Couldnt email why he deserved to keep his job b4 the deadline.

Purdy is easily the best QB this team has drafted in the past 45 years and the best QB since Young.

lol....you laying it on thick. "45 years" with the "but I said drafted tho" thing is kinda a lame way to seek attention. How bout a 1-liner that is more relevant?

Move on how? Why would they cut him from a $5M contract? I dont get?

That's what gets me when I listen to Colin Cowterd and Nick the "Shnoz" Wright, they talk about how Brock was so bad last year without the injured players and how he can't carry a team. Well how many QB's are there that can carry their team without the other star players? To me there is none. That's me other people may think different and that's ok, but just quit acting like Brock is the only QB in the league that cannot carry his team without star players.

Issue is more Brock went from potential star with a loaded roster to avg QB with the losses that didn't include all the stars. Burrow is an example of a guy who couldn't get his team into the playoffs but he drove that team to nearly getting there carrying one of the worst defense in the league, Brock played alongside a top 10 D statically and cost us a few games with his poor decision making.

LMAO. There were three teams in the NFL that gave up less points than we did.

I'm assuming you mean more? Or are you really saying we're top 4?

Seems like we're blowing up the team and tightening up fiscally. At this point, apply that to the QB too. Just stick to the 45 offered. Or cap it at 50. If he don't like that, then have him play at his 5m still due. Might as well see him play with this neutered roster and see how he and team performs.

It's dumb to be penny pinching everywhere on the roster, and then pay Brock a crazy amount and tie ourselves to him for years, only to miss the playoffs.

im getting 2017/2018 vibes all over again.

They're tightening up because we had a lot of overpaid players who weren't playing up to their deals and weren't part of the future.

If they believe Brock is the franchise QB to build around then you get it done. We'll find out where they stand soon enough.

We were 29th in points allowed so yes he meant gave up more than us.

This. Plus get what you can for guys like CMC, Warner etc. Rebuild this s**t. It's not like this was a super bowl winning team or anything. Just start again.

Do you think maybe the 49ers not trading those guys means they don't see this the same way as you do?

I imagine if they felt this was a full blown rebuild the first player trades would be Trent Williams.

No chance he plans on the old contract. I would be upset at ownership and not him, he outplayed his contact and deserves the new one. That would send a message to all draft picks don't get picked by 49ers that don't respect their players

He's being offered far more than $5M per. Up to him if he signs.

However....dude is talking about "move on from" like it's 2027 or something. Where'd "move on from" talk even originate from? It's been repeated incessantly that Brock is locked in here.

Sorry more. We were the 4th worst in football. Thanks for catching that.

Yes. I mean with the whole team, the message is pretty clear: rebuild.

No one's getting a fat contract right about now.

Even if he is asking for $65M+ per year?
Pointing out a clear paradox here that I hope you guys sort out. You don't even know the terms each party is asking for, but you've already "Predetermined" who's at fault.
