LOL dude is easily a top 3 qb, arguably top 2. Reigning nfl mvp. Carry's the team on his back weekly and has rejuvenated upstate New York. While bringing that fan base some life. Dude is a bonafide super star.

his roster has been suspect for a few years, cause it got gutted when him and diggs got super extensions. He's learned his lesson. I love Brock but I'd love to have Josh Allen more.

Allen is better but the notion that Brock can't win a Super Bowl because he hasn't is dumb.

I guess I missed this post? Or are you introducing something new here?

I mean it's kinda easy to beat up on outlandish ideas you create yourself, right?

Do you have anything to add that isn't about me?

You didn't beat up on anything.

I went back several pages (from when Allen was brought up due to his new contract) and NO ONE suggested that Brock can't win a Super Bowl because he hasn't. I've only gotten that from this post you just made about it. Feel free to quote what I may keep missing, though?

At least we know there's no way in hell that Brock gets 55. Josh is the MVP, the FO would be dumb to give him more than what the MVP just got

Josh just got $250 million guaranteed. His APY isn't an issue.

Trevor Lawrence got $55, Jordan Love got $55. Dak Prescott got $60. Which one of them was the MVP? Which one of them has accomplished more than Brock in the games that matter?

All that we should care about are the details of the contract and the guaranteed money and cap hits involved.
I dont think past accomplishments are going to move the needle. I think how good you are as a player (your level of play right now) and future projections of how good you're likely to be in the immediate future is what's going to get you alot of this GTD money.

Brock's bad year on a roster gutted by injuries where coaching wasn't helping things stacks up to some seasons considered solid by other QBs.

If that was Brock's BAD then the team would be smart to build around him. However I've always maintained, and seen nothing to change my mind, is that Brock won't push to break the bank and prevent the team from being able to build around him.

This is simply draft bias clouding people's judgments of the guy.

How do you get a future projection without using past accomplishments as your base?

So your projection for how Jalen Hurts will play in the future is mainly based on him winning the SB MVP? What about other QBs that have won it or got there in recent memory.... Nick Foles (MVP), Flacco (MVP), Trent Dilfer, Jake Delhomme, Matt Hasselbeck, the list goes on. You really doing this?

You go with past "team accomplishments",....I'll go along with the NFL brass,...which is what I actually see regarding how they're playing on the field, the talent I can see or gauge, et. al.

That wasn't Josh's first post rookie contract signed. His extension counts as his third contract right? He had to prove himself further before getting that. Folks looking at numbers which is fine but what number contract these guys on counts too.

What number contract Trevor and Jordan? Brock is a hatchling new to the league.

Agreed. If he does take a larger number, it'll be balanced out by guarantees and/or a long contract so that in the end it is team friendly.

Just goes to show how hard it is to be a successful QB in the NFL.

We see this too often. Some of the guys are good, but not every team can develop a young QB properly or they go to a bad team and they have chance.

2nd contract for both Trevor and Jordan so not sure what your logic is here.

Josh had like 3 years left on his old deal before getting this one so the whole thing was rewarding him with more guaranteed money(a LOT more) but lower APY than he would've deserved.
