The longer they wait, the closer it will get to 60mil. It should have been done already. This is the BA contact situation again

What I would do is Brock for #3 and a 1st next year. That way we have # 3 and #11. Obviously it will never happen but if the Giants called I'd listen.

When Mahomes signed his 450M/10y extension, the top QB contracts were around 33-35M AAV.

Right now, the top QB contracts are 55M-60M. A Mahomes-like contract is going to be around 650M-700M/10y.

Also, Mahomes is not going to play out that contract. When the Chiefs restructured his contract in 2023, they moved a ton of cash from the back end to pay out over 2023-26. Mahomes is currently #2 in 4 year cash flow behind Dak. He will get an extension around the time the league opts out of the current media deal (2029).

I think Purdy is a legit QB, and he gives you a feeling Garoppolo never quite gave you from 2019 onwards (/17-'18 Jimmy gave a decent amount but not fully the feeling Purdy has given since 2022).

You have to look at it as "can we win a bowl with him if the rest of the team is good enough?". After watching Hurts do it ,one should be more convinced on Purdy.

Betting on finding a better QB than him is very risky. Anybody in the league that you could argue is clearly better than him already aren't going anywhere.....5-6 guys at most.

The rest you're making a gamble.

Unless it's "Kyle can win with any decent QB".......while he's simultaneously "a choker"....

I'm willing to roll the dice on Purdy. Shanalynch just have to build a strong enough team to allow him to be the guy he needs to be, and not do stupid s**t.

Trent is about cooked. This has to be his last year. But what a stud he was. I wish the 9ers had of kept a couple of the 2nd tier defensive line guys and go all out on the OL. Brock could really be great and even greater if we had a top five OL. Everyone will say defense 11. I say OL. And maybe round two too.

This shouldn't be a conversation. Mahomes won a ring and and was a generational talent hats why he got that contract. Purdy is a good starting QB. That is it.

As long as we're on hypothetical trades, Brock and BA to Browns for #2 and 2 or 3 1st's. That's if they think AB won't be completely healthy and if Brock is stuck on 55-60 per year.
