I initially was thinking the mahomes deal but at 60/year is crazy but seeing Geno and darnold get near 40 is crazy.

If you have Brock 10 years 60/year in 5 years the rate for crappy journeymen QBs like Geno and darnold will be like 60/year and top QBs probably near 90/100.

Basically even if you wanted to dump Brock it would be easy because his floor is like Geno and darnold ceiling assuming he has no growth.

Any play he gives you better than darnold/Geno 5 years from now is a straight win in that scenario.

A Mahomes-like deal is going to account for future QB growth, which includes the league opting out of the current media deal. The AAV on that type of deal will be like 70M, just like Mahomes' 45M AAV was when QB contracts stagnated at 30-35M leading upto 2020.

He's an independent commodity. There is no market rate for him unless he actually gets to seek a deal elsewhere.

Some creators out there thinking there might be a QB competition lol. Brock could struggle in training camp and Mac could play lights out and Brock is still going to be the starter. Only way Mac is starting week 1 is if Brock is injured or if he is holding out.

I bet I can predict which content creators.

If we're all lucky the only time we see Mac in games would be similar to what we saw with Sam Darnold here.
