It's a ludicrous comparison. You have to love the assumption that Allen couldn't succeed in a system like ours because he's in a lesser one with lesser talent around him. He'd be an upgrade for at minimum 29 other teams and a big one for us.

At $5.1m. I wonder if he shows up for the off season and all but the last 6 games of the season to get the season accrual. That money is so far below his market value that it logically would not be worth the injury risk.

This is the idea that I was responding to. The assumption that his style would take away from great players around him when it's at least in part a product of not having great players around him and being in a lesser system. He has a larger burden than the vast majority of successful QBs in the league. Applied to him in college as well.
