I would not give Brock a cent over 45 million, at this time.
Do you think there is any chance Brock holds out at that number?
Would you bet Ben Johnson wouldn't, with a similar system, near his school, and near his wife's farm. With luck, dude might even have some head coaching skills and an offensive line.

Translated further by your personal AI assistant. . Could he go to Chicago. Close to wife's farm. They may build or have a really good OL and maybe Ben might be a really good HC and Brock would be a magical fit.

Nope. He's saying if you want to low ball Brock, he's not obligated to chain his career to Kyle's, and he will have options with prospects of success.
but he is obligated. he is under contract.
If you let him play out this season he will hit the open market and every QB needy team will start bidding on him. The 49ers know they have to get this done.
Speaking in absolutes is not a good thing when none of it is factual.
1. There's this thing called the franchise tag; so no, he will not hit the open market unless the 49ers allow it.
2. Every QB needy team would also have the option of the draft, which will be a lot better than this one. I would bet my house that some teams choose that route as opposed to paying Purdy $60 Mil per or whatever. Pure rose colored glasses thinking "every QB needy team" will start bidding on him lol.
All that said; I'm confident a deal will get done, but not because the 49ers "know" that it needs to
