He hosts a sports talk show in NY. How he would have that info before anyone that covers the team every day is beyond me.

i think he's maybe best since garoppolo. he had higher highs individually than jimmy in 2023, but jimmy just has more tenure.

for example

QB A: 36-17 13,599 yds 82 TD 42 INT
QB B: 23-13 9,518 yds 64 TD 27 INT

just looking at this, i take QB A. now in time, maybe he pushes ahead. that's why we watch, to see what happens next

I mean if it's a 6yr extension (7 yrs here because he's got another yr left on his rookie yr) that's an amazing deal for them lol.

Five years or six years? Pretty massive difference between $50M and $60M.

With 250M in total guarantees, seems obvious its a 5 year extension being discussed. That's where the 5-year deals are currently at. Allen has 250 gtd. Dak has 231M gtd.

Eric Crocker was talking about 250M guaranteed for Purdy on his show. I imagine that's where this is coming from.

No, it won't. The Bills just gave Allen a 330M/6 year contract (55M total AAV). The 49ers would need to give Purdy a 324.6M/5 extension to equal Allen. That's an extension AAV of 64.95M. This isn't 2023/2024. The cap has grown. The cap will continue to grow naturally year-to-year. The salary cap will get a boost when the league opts out of the current media deal in 2029. The salary cap will get a boost when the league and players renegotiate the splits on the revenue sharing in 2030. Purdy at 60M will be like 10th after the next wave of QB contracts getting QBs to 75M+ extension AAVs.

He only had 15 games too while most of the guys ahead of him on the volume stats had 17 games.
