I don't ignore what they say. I don't take it at face value and think it's mostly meaningless. You can get valuable information from what they say sometimes, when you combine it with actions and reporting. That is an unintended consequence of what they say, at least most of the time.
You cited their comments in the first place. Look at Jed's, whose right hand man is going to be making this decision with Purdy in your own words. There's arguably one substantive piece of what he said from which you could potentially glean real information and it's not in favor of any kind of market resetting deal in my opinion. And that would line up with the team's actions and reporting around the team.
