Mahomes didn't get awarded last year. He's obviously not a great quarterback.
Jalen Hurts didn't win offensive player of the week. Wasn't named to the pro-bowl. Wasn't named to the AP teams. Didn't finish in the top-5 of the yearly AP awards. Jalen Hurts didn't even get a Slimetime NVP award in 2024 but Brock Purdy did! Brock Purdy > Jalen Hurts in 2024!
Jalen Hurts' cap hit % was 5.3% this past year so I'm okay with that,...lol. Mahomes is in a separate category in and of his own, IMO.
I'm not talking about who won it, either. I referred to nominations,...as in being a finalist. Brock won it once in 2023 but was a finalist for it 3x's.
Is it my only measure of who played great and who did not? No, it isin't.
Is it a measure that backs up my thesis statement? Of course it is. Do I need to write an extended essay on a forum listing everything I possibly can to backup or prove my "thesis" that Brock wasn't a great player in 2024?
Of course I don't
,...you can have that if those here enjoy that style of needless posting.I'm going to be alot more concise, as virtually everyone here knows that Brock wasnt a "great QB" in 2024. The usual idea/expectation is for you to refute it with proof that he was instead of creating hairbrained assumptions the other poster never said like the only measurement ever of an NFL QB is Offensive POTW honors.
That only fills up the thread with needless "I never said or suggested that" posts as responses. Come up with something different.
In 2023 when we were healthy and had weapons galore, he was awesome. In 2024, far from great.

Weekly award nominations is your measure of greatness...
