He carries himself very professionally. Continually focused. Just always dialed in the moment type of guy. His poise is something else. Very commanding presence, a type of guy that gets instant respect. Very impressed with his athleticism, mental focus & determination. His ability to adapt is great as well. Just kind of inspiring really tbh.
That's exciting to hear!

will Dirty Purdy finally be the QB that brings this fan base together once again?! 😭😭

But is Brock short enough to draw bs roughing the QB calls?

I hope so. Haha at least we know he is solid at drawing P.I calls! That's because he attempts the tough throws that are harder to complete but also puts the defense in a bad position to make a mistake. Muhahahah

All that really matters for a QB is for them to be agile, elusive, and quick in the pocket. Big Ben was very hard to sack early in his career - he just became too big. Haha

Trey may prove me wrong in the future but from what I've seen - he isn't a mobile qb. He isn't elusive/agile/quick in small spaces. He's just big and fast, but the real issue is that he doesn't know how to avoid hits/slide/protect himself. I'm optimistic he will show a lot of improvement mobility wise in TC. I think he kind of has to or Kyle might give up on him. He was really adamant and excited about having a dynamic-mobile quarterback.

The two best QBs in nfl history were not great athletes - Brady and Montana, hell manning wasn't a very good athlete mobility wise.

Trey's pocket presence is good. He may not be as quick but bigger guys tend to not be as quick. What he loses with quickness he gains with ability to shake off some of the hits that would bring down smaller guys.

Saying Trey isn't a mobile QB is just silly. If you want to say he's not super elusive or quick that's fine but there are more than one way to skin a mobile QB cat.

Damn that roughing pissed me off so much. Was very costly.

He's literally not mobile. Lol his play shows that. Now if you want to say "if Trey is by himself on the field and he can run really fast" then okay? But you don't just get to be "mobile" cause you're big and fast. There is so much more to it.
im not saying he is a statue either but in comparison to every other mobile qb in this league, he isn't on their level or near it.

he's had over 50 runs and were any of them impressive? Have you players have you seen plow through that wasn't in FCS football.

I don't think Trey is build like the Josh Allen's of the world. He hasn't plowed anyone. He's been the one getting beat the s**t out of. Llol broken fingers, messed up knee, messed up ankle etc.

There's a difference between mobile and elusive...Trey is definitely mobile. He hasn't shown elusiveness yet.

Being mobile is a formula of quickness, agility, elusiveness etc. it's not one trait. Come on lol

you can't be mobile if you're not elusive, quick, etc.

to be able to mobilize your self, it takes more than being big and fast. The other traits are very important.

Yes, you can be mobile if youre not elusive and quick

Kaepernick wasn't particularly elusive nor was he quick in space. He didn't evade many sacks. He was definitely mobile and very fast once he was hitting the open field and legs hitting that stride.
In order to get to a point where Trey would be running free down the sidelines, he would have to get out of the pocket. Which requires you to be elusive, agile, quick in short spaces etc.

he can't bust anything on run play, nor has he been "punishing defenders", and he isn't quick enough to beat the defense to the edge.
you cannot be a good mobile qb if you aren't elusive, quick, or agile.
justin fields is mobile. Dude has a horrible team and still pulls it off. Trey is just a guy who can run fast in a straight line.

personally, I don't think this means he is a bad qb or going to be one. I've said it a million times - I hope he succeeds. I just don't like much about his game and never have, because he hasn't really played any games! Lol

Kap was way quicker and faster than Trey. That's not even close. Kap has the all time qb rushing yards in a playoff game. So not a good comparison at all.

it's like a cross between Brees and Davis Mills

Are you talking just to talk?

First of all his broken finger has nothing to do with his running. It was a follow through on a pass that can happen to any QB.

He had plenty of nice elusive runs vs Seattle. Wasn't a pretty game for him throwing wise but especially towards the end of the game there were several fast twitch elusive runs.

It's why I'd prefer we don't run him like a FB as much and save his running for broken pass plays or limit them to redzone, goal line situations.
