Lol. Who messed up on the hand off Mason or Purdy? Or both.

Messed up? It was a play action handoff designed to hold the front 7 for a 9 yard gain. Worked just as it was drawn up.
Just like that one time Kittle fell on purpose to trick defense then got open.

Exactly. Haha.

Fast forward to this past offseason, and Purdy was among the rookie quarterbacks brought in for a workout following a college career at Iowa State that included a 2018 run-in with current Arizona head coach Kliff Kingsbury. That was Kingsbury's final season with the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Brock chose to go short while having deep options open last week. I look for him to correct that and have some deep success, but needs to be careful or he may press into a pick or two as well.

"Even improved in some areas, says a lot"

I am completely fine with him mixing it up and keeping the defense from keying in on a tendency of always looking deep.

I wonder if he didn't take them because whatever scheme they raiders were running, threw Purdy off a little? If so, I'm glad he didn't try to force things when uncertain - makes me think he learned from those almost int that were dropped.

im willing to bet that we see a lot of those plays in the playoffs again but this time, we hit them 😏. That's the benefit of him getting these reps before the playoffs.

I recall one play where this happened (Brock checked down when there was an open deeper target) and it was because LVR ran a presnap disguise. My guess is Brock got a bit confused postsnap, and made the safe play and checked it down. I have no problem with that, on that play.
Yeah he's outstanding. The QB of the future. Drew Brees + poor man's Russell Wilson mobility. But that's a heck of a combination. You can win with this guy. He can do it all. Yeah Kingsbury is right.

Nice Job Lynch. Still could of used someone like McKinley at Safety or Jobe to compete at the CB position. Career practice squad player with NO potential.

^^ this didn't age well lol

He was trying to do his best Jimmy G impression.

That's smart football. I love it. A lot of people miss big plays and then try to force it. I'm glad he is playing conservative when the time is right. It's all about balance

depends which play.. there were times he had plenty of time but locked on one option.. stop owing teammates and hit the open guy

He's a rookie and he will probably say a lot of things to his teammates due to heightened emotions during and after games but what really matters is his winning and let him say whatever he wants as long as he keeps on winning especially these coming post season games including and I'm really hoping, SB. Let's go Brock, win it all baby! Purdy! Purdy! Purdy!
