Unbelievable numbers for any rookie QB.

Gosh I didn't think of that..no fumbles. 🤯

Which is big considering he got beat up a bit today by JJ

I must've missed a big hit. JJ went pretty easy on him.

13 TD's, 3 INT's and 1,300 yards passing since taking over after Garoppolo got hurt. Over a full length season that is on target for 3,700 yards passing, 36 TD's and 9 INT's.

Lol..... and you rounded down the TDs and rounded up the INTs

QB A. 3700 yards 36 TDs 9 INTs
Mostly BA,Kittle,CMC and Juan Jennings

QB B. 3969 yards 35 TDs 10 INTs
Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Brent Jones and Rickey Watters

Worst Puzzle ever, we all know that was Steve Young during the Super Bowl run in 94.

We don't know if Purdy can be consistent for an entire season like this

but

We are getting close to Steve Young level play and that is pretty awesome since this team does not have a Jerry Rice.

Lol he has won 6 games on the trot as a rookie scoring on average over 2 touchdowns per game with no fumbles and a completion percentage close to 70%. What do you mean we don't know if he can be consistent for a whole season? That is a very poor analysis based on close to half a season of play.

One may argue you would need to account for era. Those 35 TDs led the NFL, and only two other guys had more than 30. But still, it's excellent football, no question.

Lol. We're not getting anywhere close to Steve Young level play,...but the kid looks good.

Sorry? What?

QB A. 68% ...6.3 TD%... 3.5 int%... 8.7 YPA

QB B. 67% ...6.7 TD%... 2.7 int%... 8.0 YPA

True. JJ is nothing but class. One of those sacks, I swear I watched him lift his leg to keep Purdue from whipping too hard. Pure class.

I couldn't even imagine the type of numbers that offense with Young would put up in today's NFL.

True

but

One could also argue the current 49ers offense is probably one of the few current offenses that are closer to an era match as what Young ran.

Different eras. Defenses are relatively neutered compared to when Young was at QB. The average QB rating is more than 12 points higher than it was in 1994. The average completion percentage is 7% higher.

Cool stats bro.

Hear it again: His play is nowhere near Steve Young's level of play. That's just completely absurd.

Stats dont make arguments. Put on a game or 2 and watch Young actually play during that era,...lol.

It's just 100% inaccurate to say or suggest.

Purdy has 170 pass attempts and 13 TD passes on the season. That is a 7.65 TD%

and?

That makes them not similar some how?

Steve Young led the NFL in passer rating

Brock Purdy Leads the NFL in passing rating since week 13.

Their efficiency is similar.

Split hairs all you want, the 49ers are getting franchise QB type production out of Brock Purdy.
Yes....the defense getting the ball back over and over counts for alot in that TD% so it's really no big deal. Not some magical stat or anything.
