We don't know if Purdy can be consistent for an entire season like this

but

We are getting close to Steve Young level play and that is pretty awesome since this team does not have a Jerry Rice.

Steve Young led the NFL in passer rating

Brock Purdy Leads the NFL in passing rating since week 13.

Their efficiency is similar.

Split hairs all you want, the 49ers are getting franchise QB type production out of Brock Purdy.

Just watch the games. He's nowhere close right now.

Maybe in a year or 2? That'd be awesome.

Not going to take a sample size of stats and make crazy arguments tho. That's taking away from the kid,...not adding to hit. Please,....let's be realistic here.

I'm not quite ready to say his level of play is HOF-worthy just yet.

Hear it again: His play is nowhere near Steve Young's level of play. That's just completely absurd.

Stats dont make arguments. Put on a game or 2 and watch Young actually play during that era,...lol.

It's just 100% inaccurate to say or suggest.

When the ball moves forward with few incomplete passes and is not thrown to the other team while getting it in the end zone as often as possible we call that production.

Brock's production is close to Steve Young's production.

Not quite there....but the 49ers are getting close to the same levels.

I've been pretty consistent in saying that I love stats, but some here overdo it with them, regardless of the player. Have you not noticed this yet?

I didn't say any of that.

I did not say Purdy was Steve Young... I said close to the same level of play... his % based numbers are close some better some worse.

I did not say his sample size was strong.... If you actual read my post... I said I don't know if he can even keep this production.

I have noticed Purdy performing better than any QB we have had in nearly 2 decades and fans are super excited about it.

Only concerns I have are the eye discipline, secondary in coverage on 3rd downs and longs, drops and QB sneaks. That's about all I can come up with as potential weaknesses right now.
