Okay?? LoL

I get what he's saying. Allen has way more physical talent than Purdy. He's bigger, faster and his arm is off the charts. But look at their numbers and results since Brock became the starter and Brock looks like the better QB right now.

This is a straw man argument. No one is claiming that teams thought he was this talented during last year's draft. He's shown to be immensely talented over the last 5 plus games. Stick to the argument and stop changing it so you can somehow be correct.

Not a strawman argument @ all. He tried to force me to have the same opinion as him.

I don't. Is that okay?

Talent is defined in a number of different ways, btw, so context is everything.

where did i force you?me pointing out your comment is not forcing you to do anything. i'm pointing out the reality of your numerous stupid comments.

you know which poster did try to force something?

Manufacturing a quote to use as a "gotcha" later...that's pretty despicable. Like high school s**t.
All I know is this kid is the real deal. Jimmy is finally getting the chance to underwhelm a new fan base. I love Purdy and we are blessed to have lance. Bye bye Jimmy. Finally!

I mean these playmakers + a guy that actually looks like he has command of the offense in it? It's been a thing a beauty lately.

We're going into the playoffs in great shape.
Is it just me or did Purdy make this offense better? It looks like he has opened up this offense and the skilled positions are getting more chances to eat. Loving this!

his draft position means f**k all.

I'm just trying to understand why you're giving random s**t for an opinion that was shared by at least 31/32 teams in the league and most of this forum until about 5 weeks ago.

because the kid has now played in 5.90 games and has proven that he is indeed talented and was obviously underdrafted.

redo the 2022 Draft today and Purdy is picked much much much higher.

absolutely. Purdy would go first round in hindsight. I'm actually baffled at the takes of some posters here about Purdy. It's comical. I get being cautious in our optimism, but this is the best QB play we have seen in over a decade. Maybe two. So, I'm not goimg to claim he is 'the one', but so far I couldn't be more pleased with what he has done vs what we expected. He is playing like a top 10 QB in this league right now.

not just you. your eyes are not lying to you on this one.

i never posted this made up screenshot youre posting. i stand by what i said about Jimmy. the injury is why he wasnt brought in by another team.

btw this has nothing to dowith Brock Purdy. why are you deflecting and distracting away from your stupid comment?

You are hounding me for not buying in on a QB too fast.

Do you remember the last one you hounded me for not buying into as well? How'd that turn out?

And the thing is,...he's a solid player. This was probably the best year of his career. But I was clearly right on us needing an upgrade @ the position, and Brock is my proof.

Given our history on QBs, you dont have any credibility.

I get being skeptical, but it seems like you aren't even willing to acknowledge just how well he is playing right now.

Some of the caution might be related to the fact that we've been burned before by a QB looking great for their first 5 games and then never quite reaching that level again.
After watching Brock finish the regular season I realized he had a 5 game stretch just like jimmy did in his first season with the 49ers. Did some research to see how they compared to each other in their respective starts.

Jimmy G first 5 starts 2017: 5-0 record

Completions / attempts %

120 / 178 67%

Yards - Average yards

1560 yards - 8.8 avg.

TD's - INT - sacks

7 - 5 - 8

Brock purdy first 5 starts 2022: 5-0 record

Completions / attempts %

114 / 170 67%

Yards - Average yards

1374 yards - 8.2 avg.

TD's - INT - sacks

13 - 4 - 10

I'm really excited. I never followed him on college but have seen his resume and he just has that "It" factor.

Most importantly, it appears he can get "It" done 😂😂. Packers just got intercepted hahahaha!!!! Let's go Gum chewin Pete!

JG is a middle of the field expert and lived there until he panicked and would throw a late pass to the flat as a bail out or take a sack/make a WTF throw.

Purdy looks like he has better timing within the play all around. He threatens the outside, when he moves its not just happy feet and keeps going through reads even with a defender in his face. He's also way more accurate, there have been so many drops by our receivers where the ball hits both hands.

The biggest tell about this offense is that Kyle hasnt hesitated to put the ball in Purdys hands in clutch situations. I think it was the Raiders where Kyle called 3 straight pass plays within the 5 yard line rather than trying to run it in. Conversely when they were backed up to the endzone Kyle also called pass plays rather than running it from the danger zone. I can guarantee there wont be another 8 total pass attempt play off game this season. Purdy has had some bad passes but not any of the WTF did you see ones.

He's playing very well right now.

I've said it a number of times in a number of different ways.
