But nothing like this Purdy kid. Man, I've got jeans older than him. Wherever this season goes, I'm going to sit back and enjoy the ride.

Bruh. Two things:
(1) You might want to update your wardrobe
(2) Congratulations for not getting significantly fatter in the last 22 years. Unless of course you kept pants that no longer fit you for weird reasons.

Dude, 501's never go out of style...

Nah….I'd rather see him win Super Bowl MVP.

Same. Who cares about the individual accolades (unless theres a contract impact) but I kinda also hope Bosa doesnt win anything. More fire "juicin" these dudes up for hopefully a successful playoff run. But if they do win awards - awesome!

Time to get some Postseason awards now.
wow first O 49er eh.. didn't think we never had one before

  • He is the third rookie quarterback ever to win each of his first five career starts joining BEN ROETHLISBERGER (won first 13 starts in 2004) and MIKE KRUCZEK (first six in 1976) and is the second rookie in NFL history with at least two touchdown passes in six consecutive games (JUSTIN HERBERT, seven consecutive games in 2020).

Just for comparison, Big Ben was 11 pick in the draft and Justin was 6th pick in the draft.

Doesn't really matter. I think pretty much everyone agree he would have won ROTY had he played more games at the same performance level.

At this point, playoff success means so much more than the regular season awards.

This. Literally what the original 49ers wore in the 1800s

We panned for gold and struck it rich with Bomb Cyclone Brock

Nice. We already know he understands zone, and we've seen him not get rattled with a free rusher barreling down on him as he throws. I think the only thing that might stump him is exotic presnap disguises which he is seeing for the first time since he's a rookie starter. I think CMC and Kittle has been great options versus man coverage.

A big part of that is the weapons. CMC, Kittle, and Aiyuk are beasts against man coverage.

Do you notice anything about him not throwing the ball as well on the right side of the field?

I know that's what the NextGen charts indicate (that he is more effective throwing to the left side of the field). No idea why.

Just a theory, but he looks to his left first to check on the pass rush (via perfiferal vision), and he's so quick at processing that he sees the open guy, throws to the open guy. (example Kittle TD I think against Seattle, where CMC drew double coverage) That was a throw to the left. So Kyle is such a brilliant play designer that Brock doesn't have to go to his 3rd and 4th read when the first or second read is open. McGlinchy has been stellar in pas pro, but he's also on Brock's right side so possibly it's McGlinchy having a role on that right side also. He's had a number of passes knocked down from the right side, if I remember correctly.

Ok. I want to see how Pete Carroll scheme against Purdy. This will be the first time in Purdy's NFL career to faced a team the second time.

Ok. McGlinchey is solid, but he is certainly not Silverback.
