If Brock Purdy says they're ready, I can't help but believe the guy.

He has instilled faith in me.

I'm not sure about that. You can't coach height. I think in this day and age there are still a lot of teams who value height and arm strength and more avert athleticism over efficiency. Don't get me wrong I like Purdy a lot but even I can look at him and say, man, he's really looks really small out there. As I mentioned in another post, after the interception he threw in the Raiders' game he said he didn't see the CB that got the pick and my thought was didn't or couldn't. There are very real disadvantages to being a short guy in a tall man's game, others have certainly done it, but it would be nice if Brock had all the skills that he has but was maybe two or three inches taller.

Yeah, that's why I said possibly the falcons/giants/Seahawks. I know Seahawks would take him.

falcons seem to like the bigger prototype style or more athletic style - idk if Purdy isn't what they want, although I think that's stupid.

i could def see the giants taking him but I think daboll would prefer a more zach Allen type, just my opinion.

i based this off of how the selections where made and not assuming trade ups, although it did cross my mind.

It's the 49er way draft the RB in the third and the guy in round 6 or undrafted balls out

😭. . A lot of wasted picks at this point but it can still turn around!

im waiting to see how Purdy does in the playoffs, but based on what I've seen - I'd rock with Purdy into camp as QB1 but give chance a legitimate chance to compete. At worst we get a really good backup or we could trade him for draft capital. I'd prefer to keep him for another year just because our injury history. He may come in very useful someday unexpectedly- like Brock. Lll
Why does ESPN allow a guy that wasn't ever even a starting QB rank all of the playoff QBs? Dude has Purdy at #13 out of 14. Only the fins QB ranked below him.

I have a gut feeling our QB3(2?) Next year will be even shorter. The 2 time natty champ will be a 9er in a mere few months.

It will be the QB controversy no one saw coming.

Cause this guy wants you to do exactly what you just did - share it and get him more clicks/notoriety. I usually ignore these because did that, even though they annoy me too. It's obvious he doesn't watch many games and just goes for clickbait

Jennings was open to his right out of that 3 receiver group. But the double team of the edge rusher got all in the passing lane. Glad he didn't stay with it and try to make that throw from the far hash.

Apologize if it's already been mentioned, but in the scramble drill, the WR's look to the QB and see where he is scrambling and go into the scramble drill option route. Steve and Joe used to do that a lot. They would bail out of a perfectly good pocket just to make the WR's adjust their routes and take the scramble drill option and nail them on those option route passes.

One play I remember, Joe is looking to his left to Russ Francis. Russ is running a simple out route to the left side of the field, he's covered. Joe starts scrambling from a perfectly good pocket, Russ sees Joe scramble and immediately goes vertical, and as soon as Russ goes vertical, Joe is throwing the ball - first down.

The part I don't understand is he knocks Dak because how he is playing right now. If you're basing it on how guys are playing right now there is no way Purdy is 15th on that list

My point exactly. He also says it's because Purdy has never played in the playoffs, but ranks Geno, Jones and Lawrence ahead of him. WTF?

wow first O 49er eh.. didn't think we never had one before

  • He is the third rookie quarterback ever to win each of his first five career starts joining BEN ROETHLISBERGER (won first 13 starts in 2004) and MIKE KRUCZEK (first six in 1976) and is the second rookie in NFL history with at least two touchdown passes in six consecutive games (JUSTIN HERBERT, seven consecutive games in 2020).

Just for comparison, Big Ben was 11 pick in the draft and Justin was 6th pick in the draft.

Mike Kruczek was a 2nd round pick. All these QB's drafted in the Top 10 and the 2nd round. Then you have Brock Purdy, the last pick in the draft. Much more impressive than the ones above him.

49ers win the Super Bowl next month, you give this young man $100 mil the next day dammit!!
