NGS had him making only two throws today to guys that didn't have at least a yard of separation, so it's legitimate to say that his supporting cast is helping him a lot. That said, as we've seen over the last few years, there is a lot to be said for operating the offense, avoiding major mistakes, and finding the open guys.

If we had Purdy in 2019, we probably win the Super Bowl.

The Oline and defense would have still let us down. It is dumb to blame that loss on JG although he did make some mistakes.
I still want to see what Trey can do, but I've gotta say that Purdy playing like this in the playoffs makes this even more difficult.

He still has to read the field and make the right decision and deliver the ball. We have had plenty of QBs who were unable to do what he is doing in this very same offense.

That's what I'm saying. Making the right decision and finding the open guys is not something to be scoffed at.

Right - his football IQ, Poise, leadership, arm angles etc are a factor too. Not anyone can just come in and do this.

terry Bradshaw just said "folks at home, THIS IS NOT Normal! This doesn't happen. This is absolutely incredible"

Purdy is playing at an all pro level and it's very hard to fathom.

F* the doubters. He's the one.

First playoff game, 40 burger. Unreal.

His numbers are stupid

332 passing 3 pass TD 1 rush TD and the best play was td pass #4 dropped

I know I am being greedy, but I really wanted that one

Especially for Aiyuk. The guy blocked his ass off today. He sprung Deebo for his long TD.

The big thing is no intercepts, fumbles and turnovers. Bonus factor - lots of air yards lol
Not gonna lie, I've been hesitant to get fully behind him after going so hard for Alex, Kap, and Jimmy, but he completely won me over today. While he did make plenty of rookie mistakes he also made some plays many QBs don't make. That should be TD to Aiyuk was a thing of brilliance. That was a throw only a few can make.

Looks like Montana

Holy s**t. I just now saw this.

I left after the fumble recovery because the rain stopped in my town and I took my kids to the park.

At least Aiyuk's signature drop didn't happen in a clutch situation...my goodness....

Dude you can't be serious. Do you think that Brock's ability to move in and out of the pocket to buy time gives his WR's more time to get separation? That weak ass argument was understandable with Jimmy but with Purdy?? Please. You need new material.
Best Playoff performance for a 49er QB in a long time.
He's kinda like..a comeback kid...who said that?:)
