First game against Miami, couldn't do it because he's a rookie and short notice. Then the Bucs defense is very good, and Thursday night game, in Seattle, then there was "never trailed", so Raiders happened, then first playoff game, can't beat a team three times in a row, blah, blah.
Yes Shanahan has a big part in Purdy's success, but the TD to Elijah Mitchell today, and the dropped TD by Aiyuk, and throws to JJ and Deebo were not designed plays.

Bottom line, this guy is very good regardless. I really hope he continues to succeed and the 49ers win the SB this year. Lots of games left to play, but he is something special, and definetely more than Nick Foles or Trent Dilfer.

Obvious observation: the 49ers defense needs to get back to mid-season form! Something is seriously off.

How much is he making this year? Skill players need to go buy him a car or something lol

LOL FOREAL

No need, they've been carrying him.

Purdy contract:

22': $705k
23': $870k
24': $985k
25': $1.1 mil
25': UFA

That salary is going much much higher after his 3rd season when that 4th year gets torn up.

Not torn up, but an extension and a nice signing bonus

Eddie needs to send some 'gifts' to Purdy's parents.

Dan Marino should send him a pair of Isotoners.
our Franchise QB.

I saw some rookie nerves on some passes today, but nothing to change my mind that Purdy is....THE ONE!

He did look nervous, but he kept it in check pretty well.

He certainly didn't let it Lawrence his game up.

A couple of the early deeper balls were a bit ratty but he picked it up in the later part of the half and in the 2nd half

Anybody else think the way Seattle was scoring it was going to be the Raiders game all over again?

They'll just say something like "he would do better than Brock if he was on the 49ers".

which I doubt. Brock is more competitor and cerebral than Lawrence, in my opinion. Lawrence is far more physically talented but idk.. there is just something off about him that I don't like. Like he doesn't care or something.

You dont need to throw above 60% to make big plays. Glad alot of posters here are beginning to learn this.

The more you throw deep the more you fail to complete. That is why deep throws are low percentage and short sharp throws are high percentage. The greater the pressure the harder it is to land deep passes. But when you do land a few in a game you can win with a lower completion percentage then playing a short game. In a game like today the low percentage game could be played because the Seahawks were a low risk team. I bet if we get to play KC Shannahan will be playing more conservative on deep passes.

He needs to have a little higher completion percentage. He will. Kid is stone cold

His completion rate is usually in the high sixties. Today it might have been nerves or game strategy that saw it a bit lower. Yuk's butter fingers on Almost the Catch IV did not help.

Catch IV will come soon

I'd rather have a blowout every game and not need it.

Nor did he Wilson himself
We have so many damn weapons and we used them all today.

Agreed he shouldn't get any credit for the performance

no, let's not get carried away. the game was already over. circumstances have to be much closer or come from behind to win it
