The 49ers are winning and have been winning because of Purdy, never in spite of him.
Seems like defenses sometimes can throw new things at him and confused him, but he can eventually figure the defense out finish the game strong.

He is a rookie after all, but he appears to be a very fast learner.

a lot of that was YAC tho.

Players around him tho.

Agreed he shouldn't get any credit for the performance

i just love taking the piss out of those belittlements

Yeah, I was being sarcastic if you didn't notice

Air yards tho

did I not just say I love taking the piss out of those belittlements? you are misunderstanding hard here.

Lawrence doesn't play fast like Brock. Maybe later he will. Brock been trained to play fast, take advantage of every crack.and crevice of throwing window, buying more time, to win games the last 4 years because his college team was mostly lesser playing against better teams.

Funny because the broadcast team seem to think he was late on many throws today

😂😂😂

Purdy WAS late on some of the deep throws today, and has been late in previous games as well. But it doesn't surprise me... young QB who doesn't get first-team reps until late in the season. His timing will get better.

Late and inaccurate all day...and still killed it in the end. Incredible. This kid is special.

Wait, you were the one that commented that a lot of the yards were YAC, right?

I do think that this is true of him, but I don't actually think that was the case in this game.
I honestly felt like he was generally making all the right reads from the first play of the game... but I think he just needed some time to settle down, because his throws were off the mark in the first quarter. And at the end of the half, he was impatient and bailed from the pocket on consecutive plays.

Once he settled down in the second half, we felt much better offensively.

He was late on one for sure, and that's ok. Show me a perfect QB. I'll wait... OK, no I won't. I'll be here forever.

He had one slightly late to Jennings early that would have been a TD. Meh. Splitting hairs though... He had the pass that slipped out of his hand on the first play. Whatever. Rain. Didn't happen again. And there were a couple risky throws across the middle, but both were low making them tough to pick.

He had some incredible throws too. That throw to Aiyuk in the corner was fantastic despite it not being caught. I am so impressed with this kid. Not many mistakes, and when he does make a mistake he bounces back. He doesn't go into the well
like some guys. Poise... Confidence.... Vision..... processing..... I think he could be elite in these categories.
SERIOUS QUESTION - what do you think we could get for Purdy in a trade based on his performance and remaining contract?

I DO NOT THINK WE SHOULD, NOR DO I WANT TO, but I was just thinking about what we could get for Lance and I thought "hmm wouldn't it be interesting if someone tried to trade for Purdy?"

what do you all think?
Everyone should sit back and appreciate BCB right now .
Lawrence with 4 point before the half

Agreed, and while it may feel late to us, we don't quite see what he has seening at eye level on the field
