Is it time? Or shall we wait another playoff game or two?

This boy has earned the FQB title

Not yet. That's the same thing that was said after JG's first 5 games here. Let's be patient and just enjoy the ride.

You do you....

I think the consensus is Jimmy was never the same post injury....well he was kinda maybe the same for a few games this year...well before another injury.......

That's a lie though. Jimmy was trash in 2018 before the injury. His 5 games were a fluke against lesser or disinterested competition and then he came back to earth in 2018 before he got hurt. Now Brock is proving just how much he held this franchise back.

The Crappalo Fan club are really good spin doctors. Still hanging on for dear life.

Ring you lose all validity when talking 49ers QB's. Please exit the room.

I'm sorry, but anyone who ever defended Jimmy should really not be telling anyone about QBs right now.

Says the one who wanted to bench Brock Purdy for Josh Johnson…..leave now.

oh man I wish you could find receipts of this
It's the truth.

The receipts of this was posted about two days ago.

It's only truth for those incapable of reading beyond a 4th grade level. Now, I don't think that applies to anyone here, but I guess we'll find out shortly.
As fall camp roommates and Iowa State's only two true freshmen starters, quarterback Brock Purdy and linebacker Mike Rose developed a close friendship this past season. Despite their disparate personalities — Purdy is measured, while Rose is outgoing — the two hit it off and spent plenty of time together.

A quarterback and a middle linebacker, Purdy and Rose both play positions of leadership. That may have influenced their main topics of conversation when the duo hung out: football, football and more football.

"We talk about football all the time. Sometimes, I gotta be like, 'Yo, let's stop talking about football,'" Rose said on Friday, the first time ISU made him and Purdy available to the media. "You just gotta give your mind a break."

Purdy admitted that, yes, that is what he likes to talk about, because it's who he is.

"I consider myself a football junkie," he said. "After the game, I go home and watch all the other games, Sunday watch the NFL games. This is our life. It's good to step away but at the same time we're here for a reason, so we love it."

None of this stuff. 49ers had a great victory, people need to stop bickering and poking at each other. Stick with discussing Purdy otherwise this thread turns into another crapfest.

'Might be time to see what Josh Johnson has. He was a decent QB when he was back at SD state'

I'm guessing this was what you were referring to. Shortly after this post, Purdy hit Kittle down the middle for a TD pass (which was intended for McCloud). Ring's first response was to sarcastically note the wobble on the pass, lol. Motivation clear as day.

Here it is guys. Josh Johnson for Purdy. Mid game against the Commanders.

Ring - I'm going to keep this browser open and reference it every time you try to deny it.
Purdy is great & everything but it's a small sample size...LOL

Would help if the Purdy/Jimmy "critics" joined in the celebration rather than trying to find negativity.

We did.
It can't be overstated that we got out of this game pretty healthy!

I called for Purdy to replace Jimmy after the Denver loss and was mercilessly laughed off the board. Guess you win some and lose some.

Just ignore them instead of turning the thread into a pissing match. Its getting old having to ref these slapfights, everyone posts something dumb at one time or another, just move on and stay on topic.

good find....

Isn't it always the B or C level athletes that always seem to be greater then the sums of their parts?

It seldom is your Jeff Georges (minus the Holgrim years of Farve) it tends to be your Montanas or Starbachs or Bradys.

You could argue your Aikmans or Rothlesburgers delivered on their prototypical size or arm...but in the hierarchy of great QBs they take a backseat to some guy who just had that it factor.

Edit*****

I am not trying to put Purdy in the Brady/Montana camp

Just saying somehow these lessor physically gifted guys seem to find a way to work in the NFL

IE football junkies.....
