With Jimmy it's just rehashing old crap that has no bearing going forward.
While true his cheerleaders shouldn't says he saved the season either. Hell if Purdy is QB1 week 2 the 9ers might be hosting the NFC title game.
Who knows? One could also argue that having Jimmy here allowed Purdy the time to learn Shanahan's complex offense… and when Trey went down, we didn't have CMC, and Elijah Mitchell was injured. Entirely possible he struggles if we didn't have Jimmy for the first chunk of the season.

I was really nervous after Brock's first half. I thought he was inaccurate, skiddish and predetermined a lot of his reads. But his second half was incredible. This is exactly what legends are made of. Its nice to have a QB have a great game in the playoffs.

Is it time? Or shall we wait another playoff game or two?
This boy has earned the FQB title
Not yet. That's the same thing that was said after JG's first 5 games here. Let's be patient and just enjoy the ride.
Dude was balling in the regular season and now in the playoffs. He seems to have "it" factor.
And not similar situation to JG because he's on a cheap rookie contract. Can definitely build around this guy like you do with FQB.
He does seem to. I'm gonna wait until he wins the Super Bowl before crowning him, though. I thought Garcia would be a FQB, then Kaepernick, then Jimmy. All failed to bring home the hardware and needed to be replaced. That is what I'm waiting for, and until it happens will continue waiting.
Winning a SB is is hard AF(we should know that more than anyone) By that standard Dan Marino wasn't a FQB, and we both know that isn't true.
Jimmy came within 1 throw of winning one and he is NOT a FQB. This team is way more stacked to boot. If Purdy wins it this year, I'll have no problem slapping that label on him. If not, I'll continue waiting.
Arguing against your own threshold in the first sentence.
As to the bold "Winning a SB is is hard AF(we should know that more than anyone) By that standard Dan Marino wasn't a FQB, and we both know that isn't true."
i guess agree to disagree. Moving on...
So f**king move on then.

He needed time to learn the offense, let's not forget that point.

I love me some dirty Purdy! I was super stressed at the end of the first half, but if this coaching staff has shown to be good at anything, it's second half adjustments. starting Defense shut them out in the second half.
offense was on fire! Purdy just seems to have some magic to his game. He might bring some life to stadium after all… candlestick style 😏

Maybe he does. Or maybe he's this same guy and it wouldn't matter. Point is saying Jimmy saved the 9ers season and we wouldn't be in the playoffs is a tough sell based on what we've seen from Brock.

I lowkey thought one of his best plays was the sick underhand throwaway at the feet of his RB I believe Mitchell

Who gives a f**k who saved what?! We are all on the same team and whoever led to victories - deserves credit. That simple.
