If Brock was playing under Eddie D, he would get a Mysterious Briefcase filled with a couple of Million Dollars in his room.

I listen to the talking heads on the radio and TV and even the ones that praise Brock still have a hint of caution They keep saying that things get tougher in the playoffs and he could turn into a pumpkin at any time. That may be true but he's already shown that he can handle pressure better than some of the more highly rated QBs. He learns quickly from his mistakes and used his tools to the best of his ability. How many QBs have a string of 7 straight games like he's put together. Two or more TD passes in every game. Sixreen TD paseses and 3 INTs. Two more TDs rushing. Consistently between 220-300 yards. Passer rating consistently over 100. Passes on target 78% of the time.
I hope all the teams they face the rest of the way keep expecting him to fall apart. All the way through the SB.

The more teams doubt him and expect him to "come back to reality" - the better it is for us. Go ahead - sell out to stop the run, Purdy will drop another 40 piece on them… or at ATLEAST 35 points if we are talking about his past performances 😈😈

good thing the coaches and players think very differently than fans. Purdy wins the SB and he's unquestionably QB1.

Sounds like Kaepernick the year everyone turned on him and claimed he was a bad QB.

Absolutely. I would even think that he is QB1 even if he falls a little short. But who knows how Kyle thinks.

Sounds more like fan speak then coaching speak.

I was just messing around. But there is a little bit of truth to every joke.

This should put the whole "let Brock and Trey compete during the offseason for the starting job" conversation to rest.
There was only like 2 or 3 posters who really wanted that.
I think there are more than 2 or 3. Kyle is going to let them compete. How is Trey going to get better if he's not allowed to compete. That doesn't mean he'll win the competition. That's highly unlikely at this point but they may need him next year if Purdy gets hurt. Let's hope they compete in camp and both of them get better.
yeah, iron sharpens iron. Trey needs to be given the chance to compete. at the very least for his development and for his reps. even if Brock is the guaranteed starter in people's heads
No. Trey needs to continue to develop behind the scenes and take advantage when his next opportunity presents itself.
so give him equal reps during TC in an open QB competition.
just because Brock is playing well, doesn't mean Lance shouldn't be allowed or given the chance to compete and take the starting job away. Competition is GOOD.
In this past offseason, was Purdy allowed or given the chance to compete and take the starting job away? Was it a handed Trey the job without competition?
how is that scenario comparable in any way shape or form?

Yeah and Nick Mullens threw for 4,000 yards as a starter for the 49ers. Context helps.
