Definitely a hold your breath your moment. I'm curious how many TWTs PFF attributed to him yesterday. I doubt this one went down as one since the DB never got there, but he did have a few that hit defenders in the hands in the first half.

Jed could hire Momma and Papa Purdy as high-paid "consultants".

you guys really trying to sabotage our team

The only reason people are hesitant about Purdy is because of where he was drafted. Had he been selected in the first round, especially top 10, he'd be regarded as the next great QB. Same reason that anyone is saying Trey should have a chance to compete for the starting job. Flop their draft slot and no one would even be mentioning Trey.

Well why was he drafted last? Because he doesn't have elite arm talent, size and there wasn't improving while in college.

Trey does have elite arm talent and size. It has to do with who COULD be better long-term, not who's best right now.

purdy has shown that he can play and having 1,500 passing attempts before stepping on the field has been beneficial. Who's got the highest upside? I mean objectively it's Lance. Doesn't mean he will never get there.

brock is doing his thing so let's just chill on what needs to be done next yr.

good thing the coaches and players think very differently than fans. Purdy wins the SB and he's unquestionably QB1.

Sounds more like fan speak then coaching speak.

Maybe Shanahan's been posting under his a count all along? Who would've thunk it?

lol it's always the same group pushing the same . Purdy wins the SB he will have the players and coaches trust even more so than he does now. that's the truth of the matter. Lance will make a fine back up.

Nothing about any groups. Just outlandish statements unnecessarily made.

If we're talking about "groups",.....I was in the group pushing that we desperately needed an upgrade @ the QB position with our last guy, and you vehemently disagreed.

We now have that upgrade. So out at sea, I climbed aboard this raft before you ever recognized it. I was here first! Like a previous poster said,...context helps.

Fast forward to now and what we're seeing is the same "groups" as you call it saying stuff that's still offbase and unnecessary.

The HC decides all of these things and certainly no one on this forum can definitively make any IF/THEN statements about something that's HIS choice.

yes i agree you are proverbially lost at sea. thanks for confirming that.

Pushing it downfield this is the throw NY has been asking for for years. Wait you are NY

Tell me you didn't read the comment without actually saying you didn't…typical Faithful

A fan is naturally going to think about the next game. A headcoach is thinking about his entire tenure.

How he starts out next year's camps will likely tell us everything we need to know. Or maybe he'll make us wait longer to have a great clue? Completely up to him and no one here because it's his career.

Honestly I was more concerned about Jennings getting his head knocked off than this pass being intercepted. It was an inaccurate pass but it wasn't really close to being a turnover.

We have seen QBs go on magical runs only for thing to start crashing after. Maybe he's the next Tom Brady... Maybe he is the next Nick Foles. Not going to hurt anything to have an open QB competition.

There was a couple WTF throws from him, but he calmed down and played pretty damn good when it mattered.

I for sure thought it was picked off when watching.

It always matters in the playoffs, but no doubt he calmed down and played great in the 2nd half.

No. You've climbed aboard 3 years later and you're instantly calling shots about the direction we SHOULD go in and what WILL happen. "Guaranteed, Future Facts, Don't Debate Me," etc. All of the stuff we've gotten used to.

But we arrive @ the same place we began: Until you give us more insight on or secret intel on your closeness with Shanahan, you can't make any IF/THEN statements about what he will choose. You just.....can't? I'm sorry.

I really do think we are heading towards Purdy QB1, Lance Gimmicky QB2 that trots out every once in a while like Taysom Hill. At least we'd get something out of him...
Today - competition next year (which I think BCB wins)
Post Super Bowl appearance (not even win) following a run of QB play at least equal to what BCB has done thus far - BCB is QB1.

If he wins one more playoff game, he is unquestionably QB1
