Honestly i really don't know what's going on. But something is going on. And i like it.

He absolutely is creating touchdown plays with improvs in the red zone. Obviously jimmy at his best will just take the sack or throw away. Which is fine. I don't blame 30-year-old quarterback with ACL issues to do anything other than that. But Brock is manufacturing Four Points in those situations very often. And it's transforming us as a team.

You telling me we never ran this route prior? Stop it.

Dude it's obvious what is going on…we have a QB that's running Kyle's offense better. We have a QB that's reading the field better. He's looking high/too low vs the other way around. We have a QB that's able to extend plays and have better pocket presence. Toss in CMC with the rest of these studs.

my point is Kyle's offense is no different, the QB running it is better.
Purdy looking better than Josh Allen today....

And I made the giant mistake to listen to the Ringer podcast after Saturday´s games. You know, I´m a pretty naive guy and well I was happy, Kyle smashed Pete Carroll´s stupid Monopoly guy head so why not?
Remember that Steven Ruiz guy that thinks Baker Mayfield and Colt McCoy are better QBs than Purdy? Well he thinks that Brock had a bad game yesterday. Not a bad first half. A bad game. Yeah I know.^^ But you know maybe he´s right. I guess I could have played yesterday and the Niners would have scored 50 points at least. I mean it´s so easy to play in Kyle´s offense right?
I wanted to be mad then I thought about all mighty Justin Herbert playing like an affraid rookie in the second half yesterday. The same Justin Herbert that according to Steven Ruiz is better than Josh Allen and Joe Burrow.
I can tell you one thing about Joe Burrow. He would never have lost that game because he´s a f**king killer and he doesn´t need a bazooka to do it.

So overall I think I understand where this "Is Brock Purdy for real?" is coming from. It´s not because he´s the last pick of the draft. It´s because he doesn´t have a cannon and he ´s not an athletic marvel. He´s not gonna throw 50 yards outside the numbers on one foot. And so those media guys think "Oh must be Kyle Shanahan right? No way a guy like Purdy can play like that right?".
But that´s the beauty of this sport. The Goat didn´t have John Elway´s arm and he didn´t have Randal Cunningham´s legs. What he had was that calm, that poise in the pocket, this ability to live in the present and just focus on the next play. And he was clutch! Clutch!!!
So we´ll see what Brock will do in the future but I can tell you one thing. He´s living in the present. He missed some throws in the first half, well so what? He didn´t throw 4 interceptions like Trevor Lawrence.
He came back in the second half, was almost perfect and went for the fatality on the Aiyuk throw. This kid is special.
The Niners played 7 games with him as the QB. In 6 of those 7 games, they scored at least 33 points. With Brock Purdy the Niners score almost 35 points per game.
The Niners are on fire offensively and at some point you would think the QB is doing something right.

I like listening to 49ers talk with Matt maiocco during my workout sessions or David Lombardi. Matt has some great insightful takes though. super unbiased reporter

Oh I surely should have listened to Matt Maiocco or David Lombardi.
Since I already listened to Hab and Middlekauff, I thought "Let´s hear what the Ringer thought about the Niners.". I guess Brock´s performance wasn´t enough.
I mean, I wasn´t expecting them to say that Brock was Mahomes 2.0. But damn saying he had a bad game. Really?^^
What sport are we watching exactly?
It´s the "If it was a true good QB, this game should have been over in the first quarter." Football?
Or is it the f**king PO win or go home Football where every game is tough as hell specially for a rookie QB?

Does that imply kyle is making 1st reads down field? Just asking.

Same reason that anyone is saying Trey should have a chance to compete for the starting job. Flop their draft slot and no one would even be mentioning Trey.

Well why was he drafted last? Because he doesn't have elite arm talent, size and there wasn't improving while in college.

Trey does have elite arm talent and size. It has to do with who COULD be better long-term, not who's best right now.

purdy has shown that he can play and having 1,500 passing attempts before stepping on the field has been beneficial. Who's got the highest upside? I mean objectively it's Lance. Doesn't mean he will never get there.

brock is doing his thing so let's just chill on what needs to be done next yr.

No, actually it's not. When are you going to learn what that word means? Yours is, in fact, a completely subjective opinion which fails to recognize all of the variables that might determine how someone else might view what a player's ceiling is and whose is comparatively higher. Just because Lance might be physically stronger and have a bigger arm doesn't mean he will play the position as well as Purdy. Lance's story isn't written yet. He may in fact turn out to be great but, at the moment, he is definitely playing from behind the sticks in terms of next year.

Objectively or subjectively, I don't agree that we can say that "Trey has more upside." Why because he has a better arm? Is taller? Has a better 40 time? If we did a draft of all QB's under 25 years old, where would Purdy be drafted vs. Trey? As many have mentioned, playing QB is about so much more than physical traits.

The idea with Trey is that he's still mold-able, because he hasn't played enough to have set bad habits. However, Purdy has played so well that there is no incentive for the 49ers to spend extra resources helping him do that. Which means it's on Trey and the normal coaching he would receive to maximize his physical gifts by developing that mental side.

Furlow trying to explain to me what's objective or subjective is laughable.

Is this "football?" Asking for a friend.

Also, that wasn't me explaining it to you.

He had a bad first half, but I don't get how someone could say he had a bad game.
