Not sure if intended, but that pass dropped low really helped not giving Diggs a chance at the ball. I like to think so from Brock to protect his receiver.
Just now seeing this angle but yes. If that DB just plays the ball it's an easy INT. And around the goal line he certainly should have because it's all or nothing.
Lol wut. He got there too late to make a play on the ball, even with it being too far inside. Yes it "should" have been more outside and would have been a touchdown. These types of throws happen every game to every QB. But the bottom line is it was a completed deep pass that the Jimmy detractors have been asking for for years. Now that we're seeing them on a regular basis, we're going to nitpick ball placement on completed passes? Doesn't make any sense. Just wait until Purdy throws 3 INT's and we lose, and then come in here and gloat, I mean criticize.
The DB is fully playing the man around the goal line.
If it were near the opposite goal line,...I could see him wanting to get a hand on him and have him "down" around the 10-15 yard or so.
But touching the player down around his own goal line does him absolutely no good because it's going to be a score. Just an example of the DB going on instincts and pretty much unaware of the situation.
Wasn't there late at all...simply turned the wrong way and made no attempt to turn around towards the ball. Otherwise he would've seen there's an INT to be had. We caught a break on that one.
