He seems to be hating a little bit.

It's like he doesn't realize that Purdy's ability to move in the pocket and extend plays out of the pocket gives him more time to throw and more time for his WR's to get open.

The back and forth is why legit, NFL-level experts are needed to truly evaluate these performances instead of fans and average joes.

Consider the narrative on both sides to be nothing more than mid-week entertainment. IOW,...don't take much of it too seriously.

In the first tweet he's calling Brock's throw to Jennings a bad throw splitting two defenders through a tight window

Second tweet he's complaining about only being able to throw it to wide open guys.

*shrugs*

I've seen a ton of hate on Purdy lately and I love it, you can literally smell the saltiness of all the fans of crappy teams trying to explain to themselves why Brock is not actually any good, how he's not really doing anything and why that means he sucks. It's hilarious.

Aaron Rodgers is home watching though.

While holding a pictured frame of Brock.

Watch Allen or Mahomes, absolutely perfect downfield throws are not the norm. I've always laughed at the way we critique ball placement on catchable deep passes. Like I get it, some passes could be better, but this forum will go on for pages about a completed deep ball that wasn't perfectly dropped into the ideal spot lol. That is rare. Most long passes are combination of a catchable pass and the WR going and making a play like Jennings did

I think hes partially correct. If you really look at it, Purdy should've lead him going down the sidelines into the end zone. Instead he puts its towards the inside and Jenning has to make a diving catch instead of catching it in stride into the end zone. Diggs or whomever the safety was there shouldn't even had a chance to make a play on the ball with a better throw. None the less Jennings made adjustment and diving catch.

heres the other angle.

Absolutely. You can like the outcome of the play and still not like the way it went down. That guy on Twitter is a dick but he's not wrong. That ball ideally goes to the sidelines where only the receiver has a chance to make a play on it. If the safety isn't a tick too late, that's a possible interception and like you said, the defense shouldn't even have a chance to make a play on the ball there. Put it along the sidelines and Jennings is walking in for the TD.

Its just something that he's going to clean up because opposing defensive coordinators will be paying attention to things like that.

Well, I have to admit it. For one brief moment I thought, okay, here is a kid that everyone can get behind. He's efficient and mobile and puts points on the board.

But having wasted at least a few minutes of my life scanning a ridiculous debate about how many TDs Colin Kaepernick accounted for in his first starts it seem as like this thread is headed towards the same toxic stupidity of every other QB thread this forum has ever had. Oh well.

He's a 49ers QB, the first time he loses a game, people will be calling for Carr. Which one? It doesn't matter.
Brady or Dak-- we got Brock!

whoops, wrong thread

I think it's the right thread. Many said this was a bad decision by Purdy and that he should have hit Deebo. But Aiyuk had a TD if he just kept running. No wonder Purdy was so mad after this.

Wow, very interesting seeing that view.

I figured something was up since Brock was so angry. This makes the play look way better in Brock's favor, from the physical throw to the mental reading of the play.

This throw and decision looked very bad from the TV view.

You hit it right there. Many on here watch highlights of Allen, Mahomes etc but they rarely watch the entirety of those games. While they're great qb's, they're hardly perfect. Yet those same critics expect perfection from 49er qbs.

This is the result/fall-out of the social media 24/7 news cycle.....just about anybody has a platform, whether they've earned it or not......as noted, contradictory "hot" takes, but some people will get fooled or take the click-bait. JMHO
