But what Pat said really summed it up well. I left out quite a bit because Pat can really talk it up, but this is the meat:

Hard to fathom how difficult his professional path has been, really. All his learning and growth and development has been UNDER THE GUN, with at least something riding on every game, be it expectations, seeding, and win-or-go home playoff results. Trying to take anything away from him is just bonkers.

Talk show hosts that say anything negative are usually reluctant to praise him based on history. That history says guys don't do this. Especially QBs. Going from a guy that was one pick away from being undrafted to the starting and undefeated QB of a team that is looking to go to the SB is a story that's waiting to be a Hollywood movie. If he helps them win the SB it will be one of the greatest sports stories ever. Better than Rudy because it won't need to be embellished.

Watching all this speculation on Lamar Jackson, Aaron Rodgers, etc and they show the top 5 QB salaries. To think we have Trey and Brock for at least the next 3 years on rookie deals is a GAME CHANGER!

I'm not sure that, by definition, you can design a scramble play. You can design a roll out or a read option or a QB run but scrambles happen when everything else breaks down.

Personally I would rather NOT see Kyle dial up any designed runs for Purdy. He's not a very big guy and that seems like a surefire way to get him hurt.
