With good coaching this kid could be the next Steve Young

I'm hoping in three years we get a 5th rounder out of him.

Best case scenario he becomes a solid enough player to trick a s**tty franchise into trading a relatively high pick for him lol. I'm realistically hoping he is a solid backup for the long term though. 7th round qb though so he might not amount to much but we got solid production out of Mullens despite being Shaun Hill 2.0

I think the realistic hope is that he makes the practice squad for a year or two, and even that is statistically unlikely for Mr. Irrelevant. There have been a few guys picked at this spot who have done things in the league (it's interesting to read the Wikipedia article about it) but we shouldn't invest much hope in him, nor should we worry too much about "wasting" this low-value pick.

Why stop there? He will be the next Joe Montana.

He'll be a career back up, he doesn't have a good QB name.
Then again he has a Y in his name like Brady….we may have something here!!!

Doesn't have a good QB name? Umm, maybe not but he sure has the look. He sure is "Purdy" to look at. Our other Ioway QB, Beathard , could really take a lickin'. It would be somewhat poetic if Purdy could do the same, PLUS read a D with a quick glance and then dissect it. Not now, perhaps, but as he progresses in the future.
