If a miracle happens and he balls. We would finally have the storyline on our side.
A movie would be made.

At least a 30 for 30. "Purdy Relevant"

Feature film: "Irrelevant."

Forget ESPN 30 for 30, it'd be a documentary on A&E, Netflix, maybe National Geographic.

The 49ers are a push button offense, you don't need Tom Brady back there to bail you out (maybe next year though).

Tom Brady is the ultimate push button QB though.

(and that's why he's either the GOAT or right behind the True GOAT).
Hopefully fans don't turn on him if he has a bad game. They will but one can hope.
The players seem to be behind Brock just like they were with Jimmy and Lance before that. That tells me 2 things.
One is that they have high character guys playing that position. Two, it says that there is good team chemistry. That shows up in the playoffs when everyy team has good talent.

He's a rookie. You give a guy grace until about this third year. By then, the late bloomers will start to bloom for the most part. If you still stink by year three, you're either Alex Smith or you're just bad forever.

Yeah, the Jimmy Stans were willing to give Lance about -3 games.
Sheesh, this was a hell of a throw.

Well he demonstrated he is injury prone and can only get a 48.8% completion rate and a 33% win rate with his only win against the worst team in the comp. Purdy on the other hand in his first game hits the ground running wins against the most efficient offence in the comp, gets a 67.5% completion rate, 2 touchdowns, 1 pick, 210 yards. That view is based on results even though it is a small sample it is the only sample we have.
I think defenses will keep the pressure on him. Take away his short outlet. Short passing game all day. Wait for a mistake from Brock or the young guy getting impatient, throws a 50/50 pass downfield.

Tight window throw with no hesitation and good ball location.

Literally everyone knew that Lance would be a project, and that many QBs would come into the league more ready to start. Except Jimmy Stans.

BIG C**K Brock in all his glory
Purdy seems to read the field pretty well and throw an accurate ball. If he was a few inches taller he would not go in the 7th round. He's just not that big. 4 year starter. Lots of game experience in College. He understands the defenses and goes to the right place with the ball. He's pretty accurate too. I think he is better than the last player taken in the draft. But we will see.

BIG C**K Brock in all his glory

With Jimmy Garoppolo playing Brock Purdy and Kiara Mia playing his sister. Mom and dad have to leave town for a work meeting, and things get a little awkward in the Purdy house.
