Yes, Brock Purdy probably can't do that.

But spot on.

I think defining "skill set" helps the debate. Personally, he doesn't possess an elite arm or physical size, I don't think anyone will argue that.

he does have elite mobility, mental processing, etc. I think his mind is an elite tool he has. It's the main reason why he is so successful, IMO. He uses his brain to break down defenses pre and post snap (best to his current ability, which is exceptional for a rookie), exceptional situational awareness, great pocket presence (so far, he has left the pocket early a few times - expect him to rarely roll out to the left this game. Cowboys will be expecting it and he knows it).

I think he posses elite traits and some physical.

There's nothing elite physically and arm strength with Brady, yet the dude has more SB than any elite qb. Same with Montana. As long as they can play the game, and get the ball to where they needed, they can be winners and HOFers

Brady has more super bowls than literally every franchise. Lol
im not a fan of this guy but this is an interesting comparison. Makes sense, they're both very quick in the 10 yard split and avoiding pass rush.

Russell Wilson is my comp with a little less arm strength but has a quicker processor. Russell Wilson never had the amount of weapons that Purdy has at his desposal though.

Something about brock that doesn't get talked about much, I know kittles said it - is that he's actually LOST before. He's had to deal with that, numerous times. That brings a lot of maturity.

most players, specifically QBs, don't experience much loss. They dominate in high school, go to a top program with tons of talent and dominate, then get drafted high in the nfl to a bad team.

Brock's lost two state championships in high school (I think, and his school had never been there before), he lost the big 12 championship to a much better team. Etc.

he's always made everyone around him better. He's just
never had enough talent around him to get those programs over the hump.

well he has a ton of talent around him now 😈😈. Let's see what the young man can do!!! Let's go!!

I think Purdy is a better pocket passer than Wilson. Some of that might be due to him being a few inches taller. R Wilson is legitimately 5'10 3/4 or something like that. They round up to 5'11

I think the only comparison between Brock and Wilson is their short area quickness. This season has shown that Wilson's processor is very poor, as in below average. Some of the breakdown videos I've watched of Wilson shows again and again poor reads that are inexcusable for an 8(?) year vet.

I think Purdy is a better pocket passer because he processes the field quicker.

I think Purdy is ridiculously at processing. His decision making is excellent for a rookie. He still misses a linebacker here and there - but he's already showing improvement on that.

ARM vs Core.

Totally agree about Brock's processor vs Russel Wilsons. Two different architectures, two different speeds!
I think there's a lot of criticism coming Purdy's way because he looks like a high school junior. Dude needs to go hard off the field too.
