Right, montana/Bree's/Brady/manning etc. they are some of the greatest but weren't necessarily gifted athletically.

Montana was actually a pretty good athlete in his younger days. He had great, quick feet and was also a basketball player in high school which I imagine is one reason why he was so good moving around in the pocket

I think everyone in the nfl is a good athlete. People always want to find physical freaks at the position and it's just not necessary. It's nice! It's pretty. But not necessary

Probably not correct cuz I am not sure why you would pick this guy but I'm gonna say Baker Mayfield cuz he's short and does need to reign in the cockiness. Plus the deep ball hangs just ask Quadre Diggs.

Well s**t. That was easy. Sorry there is no prize for getting it right.
Crazy how one is a blue chip prospect and the other is Brock. That scouting report seems to describe Brock.

Kaboom

Well guessed. I was thinking Russel Wilson like NC.
I was just thinking. If Purdy wins the SB, he will be the talk of the nation and his performance throughout the season will be deeply analyzed. When they realize how great he has actually been playing, he will be considered one of the best QB's going into the start of 2023.

Checkout this gem I came across. It goes over many areas of Brock's game. Including his ability to beat pressure with his arm and his feet, his understanding of what NFL defenses are trying to do to him and his ability to manipulate defenses with his eyes. According to Josh McCown, it is not just scheme that is getting receivers wideopen on those 2nd level passes.

On a side note, they bring up Trey Lance near the end of the video and talk about how set we are at QB. WE WILL NOT BE TRADING TREY ANY TIME SOON.

So I guess it's official that Brock is out for OROY. Olave, Wilson and Walker finalists. We all knew it

I figure SB MVP has a better ring to it anyway.

Yup. Would be the first and possibly last in NFL history

Breece Hall would have ran away with this award if he didn't get hurt or Brock Purdy if he was the backup to Trey instead of Jimmy. But back to Hall, He had 681 total yards and 5 TD's in just 7 games.

I'm not joking... he will get his own movie.. "Mr. Irrelevant"... or some other title.

This is not normal.

Now mind you, Kyle has a big part on why this is possible... but Purdy is doing the little things that make a difference.

I guess the league prefers mediocrity over great accomplishments. Lol

i don't think people realize that a RB or WR breaking 1k yards - is only them getting 55 yards a game. Lol yeah! Let's reward those very average performances!

The only argument "these guys played very average for more games! So they deserve it! Idc if you did more in your small sample size and things that have never been done! You need more games!" Lmao

When I hear the games played - I think "so Purdy accomplished historic things in 6 games. So they only did average to mediocre things in more than twice as many games? That doesn't sound award winning?"

Honestly, I don't think anyone deserves it besides Purdy. If you compare other offensive rookies of the year to this year - it's a joke. It waters down the award. If they don't think Purdy qualifies because of the games played -
They should just tell this years rookies to be better and not give it to anyone. You should have to EARN it. I hate this whole "give awards to any and everyone".

Its a joke.
