How do you know he wants a new start? Did you talk to him? I don't really understand some of these takes. People seemed okay with the fact that he was handed the job over Jimmy this year without having to compete for it because they didn't want him 'looking over his shoulder'.

Now the argument seems to be that the tean should find a way to get rid of him because it would be 'unfair' for him to have to compete with Purdy. So the bottom line seems to be that people wanted Lance to have the job as long as he didn't need to compete for it or earn it. Got it.

Yeah, we talk every day. Just seems obvious that he has no future here, anymore. Tweeted something to former 49er front office guy, now new Tenn GM, forget his name, to trade for him.

Why is it obvious? According to a lot of posters in here Lance is an elite runner who is bigger and stronger than Purdy and has a better arm who will undoubtedly be just as effective in the short game once he gets more reps. If Lance is everything that some people have been telling us he is for the past two years then why shouldn't he be willing to come into camp this year and prove it?

Again, the only answer seems to be that unless he's handed the job the people who have been beating the drum the loudest for him don't actually believe he can win it

Made the couple plays he had to and managed the game well.
