Haha, that's awesome. Chef John's videos taught me a lot about cookin' during the lockdown.
Make history kid. You're almost there.
Wow, these plays are mighty impressive for a young QB. A lot of other young QBs would've pressed and possibly forced a bad throw. The Cowboys' defense was playing out of their minds, but Purdy didn't force anything.

Lots of big misses from Purdy in the first half.

I really don't think that journalist knows what he is writing about. He is worse in his analysis than Grant Cohn. Fortunately he is not as loud as Cohn

you can use slow mo, multiple angles, and all22 to find misses on any play and write a monday morning qb article about it.... the article is a joke as far as I am concerned and has no reflection from what the guy under center is seeing when he drops back, the pressure he feels from having demon possessed rushers bear down on him trying to take his head off or block passing lanes, and coverages rotate and change after the snap... what Brock did live against the cowgirls was impressive and if the author can't see that he is a fool

The article brings up a few plays that we could've done better since we didn't do much in the 1st half. How is that a joke, like do we not want to improve.... the author even states "While it was far from a perfect performance by Purdy, the rookie quarterback remained unfazed and played through the end of the game with poise, creating the necessary plays when the 49ers needed the spark." how is that not saying he was impressive regardless of some missed plays early like did you not see this?

The fact this author rates Purdy's performance as a C means he loses all credibility as a serious football analyst

You know what I would love to see? We need a helmet cam in every quarterbacks helmet and then have the "analyst" (aka MMQB) take a look at the film and tell us what they think is open or closed on the field. Then let's see how they write their articles. So easy to be able to see everything from above. I appreciate a good breakdown like Jonnydel does, but when you try to do what this article does …it just doesn't fly.
LOL

Please be real, please be real, please be real, please be real, please be real. I've gotten my hopes up so many times over the years. I got talked into giving Druckenmiller a shot despite hating that pick all the way from the drop, then it was the hidden potential of Carmazzi, then Alex was supposed to be the one, then incredible steal Nate Davis, longtime future franchise QB Kaepernick, CJ Beathard, the jury is still out on Lance and now Purdy.

If they really found a potential franchise QB with the last pick of the draft and not just a flash in the pan but a guy who continues to hone his craft, improve and gets better and better in the years to come, that would be a pretty crazy and amazing story.

We have more and more guys came out and said they are so impressed by Purdy.

This is the list from what I remembered.
Kurt Warner
TJ O'Sullivan
Josh McCown
David Carr
Dan Orlovsky

These are the guys who actually watch all 22 films. I feel like most of the guys not impressed by Purdy didn't actually watched film, instead just have a lazy take that the weapons and Kyle can make anyone look good.

Hes been damn impressive and poised for a 7th round pick.

His performance would be damn impressive for a top 5 pick. Who started better than Brock as a rookie?

I think it's real. There's just no way a third string rookie could be this consistently good if he didn't have that special sauce. It's quite the story.
If you guys can't see how this guy is infinitely better than those scrubs of the past I don't know what to tell you. Purdy has QBing where you really need it. Between the ears. Always the most underrated aspect. Certainly the most important aspect. He has plenty enough athletic ability. His size is fine. Most important is the way his mind sees the game. You can win with that.

some of those others had a few good games then fell apart. None of them looked like they could read a defense and shift gears quickly when things didnt work. Kap was the closest one to being The One but he couldnt read the whole defense, harbaugh cut his plays in half. Physical ability was off the charts and he was smart and decently accurate, but he couldnt process that much info from the defense. Brock adlibs better than all of these guys and is accurate. dude seems like a natural leader

Whether it's real or not, I just hope it lasts at least long enough for us to win the Super Bowl this year.
