QB Brock Purdy Thread

Please be real, please be real, please be real, please be real, please be real. I've gotten my hopes up so many times over the years. I got talked into giving Druckenmiller a shot despite hating that pick all the way from the drop, then it was the hidden potential of Carmazzi, then Alex was supposed to be the one, then incredible steal Nate Davis, longtime future franchise QB Kaepernick, CJ Beathard, the jury is still out on Lance and now Purdy.

If they really found a potential franchise QB with the last pick of the draft and not just a flash in the pan but a guy who continues to hone his craft, improve and gets better and better in the years to come, that would be a pretty crazy and amazing story.

But this is why you have to hold onto Trey. Just incase Brock is a flash in the pan. No matter who the starter is next season both Brock and Trey need to be QB1 and QB2. No reason to get rid of either of these guys.

Honestly? The people seeing him in practice day after day are the only ones that can decide this.

We see him as a guy that's stocked with talent around him,...while they've seen him as a scout team QB.

Lots of unneccesary ramblings on this thread.

Purdy is processing info at a fast clip. He shows poise and leadership. He is elusive in the pocket but not a run first. His eyes are downfield and gets rid of the ball.quickly. 1st rd or 7th rd, it does not matter. This kid has traits that can make a great QB.

Wow, these plays are mighty impressive for a young QB. A lot of other young QBs would've pressed and possibly forced a bad throw. The Cowboys' defense was playing out of their minds, but Purdy didn't force anything.

A lot of VETERANS would have pressed as well (Dak, Jimmy, Allen, etc.).

This kids processing, poise and millisecond decision making is elite. This is not normal.

There definitely isn't something normal about a rookie QB playing in the NFCCG.

Wait - the voting hasn't happened yet? I thought it happened right after the season ended? I wonder if he will get it since he's made it so far in the post season (even though post season isn't supposed to count?)

While others were attempting to bash Brock's performance, I was trying to pump it up. 😅

People shouldn't be judged by the way they perform when everything is going well. Instead, they should be judged by the way they perform when facing high levels of adversity. I will take consistency over flashy 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.
