The question is - is he that guy? Will he make that throw, scramble off script and make a play etc. he certainly has shows flashes, but this it.... It's do you have it or not.

He already has. Off schedule pass to Kittle was the key to the lone touchdown drive. The narrative against Purdy is exactly the same narrative against Montana for his entire career - no elite arm strength, small, not fast.

This.... he did the same thing in college and high school, expected to be the man and carry his team

Is he that guy? He's already made quite a few remarkable plays. Those throws to Kittle in the corner of the endzone & the drop by Aiyuk in the corner…..we have never seen a Niner QB make those throws. We usually see those from other teams playing the Niners lol.

He did that. In College, this year and this seasons playoffs. He did that already many times.

Wow, haven't seen this before. That's so awesome!! What a ride he and his family have gone on. His humble demeanor makes it so much better. I hope it turns out to be a storybook ending for him this season. Simply would be one of the greatest NFL stories of all time.
Remember all the stuff they had him go thru on that 'Mr Irrelevant Week'? If you watched the offseason team video, you know what I am talking about.

That's what gave him the poise and composure, if he can handle that week he can handle anything.

Yeah, that video was the first time I'd heard of him. I almost felt bad for him. It seemed like a "congrats for now, but you're gone soon" celebration.

Isn't that week a huge charity event though? It all goes towards a good cause.

They really hammed up the Mr Irrelevant angle all week. It was like a week long Irrelevant retreat. I was like damn, poor Brock probably wishing he went undrafted so he could get out of this

The name given and the draft status is why people obsess so much and think he can't be good. Because how can somebody called "Mr Irrelevant" be good?
The whole family overjoyed like he just got the 1st pick of the draft lol

It showed they truly believed and know their son can play qb despite all the negative scouting evaluation. That's awesome family support for the young man to succeed. The Niners saw the talent in camp also believed. Released Sudfeld with 2mil in the pocket to make Purdy a #2 behind Lance before Jimmy resigned.

"Go thru"? It seemed like a pretty nice time to me.

I think it was this one

What did all 6 rookies who failed in the Conference championships before Brock have in common? They all turned the ball over a bunch. We need a clean game from him and we'll be fine.
