Any notable players on the ISU offense or defense outside of Purdy?
Offense wise they had Charlie Kolar who was a terrific tight end that is now in Baltimore. They also had Breece Hall and Kene Nwangu who are both RBs in the NFL currently. They also had Deshaunte Jones who was a really good college receiver but never made it in the NFL.
Lol thats wild when you look at the talent disparity. Iowa state has no business taking these guys to the brink - that shows how awesome Purdy really is.
he shouldn't get ALL the credit but definitely the bulk of it. They've sucked without him.

Watching those highlights it was
Jalen Hurts + Ceedee Lamb vs. Brock Purdy + Breece Hall

That's right. He made them play above their level. He had the less talented team in most games. I don't know why people can't see this. If you take a less talented team and make it competitive vs a powerhouse that's impressive. That's not some kind of knock even if you lose a close game.

Their offense fell off a cliff and the OC was exposed pretty badly and got fired. It became clear that Purdy succeeded in spite of and not because of him.

It is interesting that the media/scouts/coaches/execs continue to put qualifiers on this team or not take the 49ers seriously because they are projecting what they think about the quarterback to the rest of the team. I remember last week some dude said this 49ers team would be considered "generational, all-time great," with an elite quarterback.
Maybe, just maybe Shanahan doesn't want/need that to run his offense. Would an elite talent be nice to have, of course! But this guy has never had a big time talent (unless you consider RGKnee or Sherminator one). To borrow a basketball analogy, maybe he's just looking for Chris Paul, Steve Nash, and not Kyrie, or Ja, or prime Westbrook.

PTI opened its show discussing a report that the Niners have decided to commit to Purdy as QB 1 next year. Anyone other than them see the report?

Meh, keep Lance, not worth trading him. Hopefully the Brock situation will light a fire under him.

And he STILL has a chip on his shoulder for going in the 3rd round. I wanted us to get him SO bad, but that was when Utah was still playing in the Mountain West Conference and NFL scouts don't want anything to do with players not from a power 5 conference. Purdy gonna. E the champion of every player who felt disrespected by the draft process.
