This is not true. They had 3 RB's who averaged 4.6 YPC or higher. 2 of those RB's averaged 5.4 YPC and higher. The real issue is that Allen should be put on a leash and not be asked to drop back 754 times in a season in order to protect him from himself.

No where near Allen though. Or Herbert. And remember, the consensus was Mahomes was way over drafted and should have been a 2nd or 3rd round project. So that example proves my point.

Lot of that was because people thought he'd take a lot longer to develop. Not his toolbox.
Mahomes may not quite have their arm but it's damn close. He's easily as athletic as both of those guys. Depends on what measurables we are talking about.
