I'm not buying into that scramble left narrative either. I think it depends on where the pressure is coming from and also what he think is available to him on each side on the play. A few times he went to the right to get a wide open Mitchell, Juice, Deebo, and CMC. Other times, if too hot, he tried to just throw it away. I don't think this dude scramble out without a plan. Don't think he's the type.

If he sees Kittle going to the left towards the back of the endzone, and got pressured, doesn't make sense to scramble to the right opposite of where Kittle is going. He would scramble to the left with Kittle to buy more time and hit him for a TD.

I think he's talking about athletic ability. If he is then he's right. Minshew and Hurts are faster and both have better arms. Both are effective runners when they need to be. They are better than Purdy in nearly everything you can measure. Except they aren't better.

Purdy has something that can't be measured. We call them intangibles but most good QBs have them. The question is can he keep this up for 2 more games. As long as he avoids the big mistake I think the NIners can win. At the same time the Niners D needs to force Hurts into a mistake or two.

He has had luck on his side but you have to get lucky in football to win a chip! Ask the 2007 giants, 2011 giants, 2012 baltimore (Flacco decided to be Joe montana), Joe montana was lucky in the super bowl against the bengals - he threw the ball right into the defenders chest and he dropped it.. we would of lost that super bowl.

luck is just part of the game.

Cosell might be respected, and he makes otherwise uncontroversial assessments...but he represents what people like Steve Smith are speaking out on--the glut of old farts, scouts, and pundits who evaluate based only on a model of physical metrics...which leads to guys like Zach Wilson being taken early and Brock almost going undrafted.

Cosell said he was picked last for a reason. Those reasons make the current evaluation process suspect. I think the game relies too heavily on people who sit on their asses, put their chips behind only the most obvious potential, and say "I told you so".

I'm glad it worked out for us. I'm happy to have Brock, and he doesn't have to win a SB to change his story.

Foolish comment imo. "Every game"? I'm not seeing that at all. Has he had a couple lucky drops? Yes he has, but he's also made outstanding throws and decisions that neither Jimmy or Lance showed, or made.

Wonder how intoxicated some of you guys are when watching the games.

Every quarterback has picks dropped against them. Brock is no luckier than anyone else in that respect. Hell, the Rams won a Super Bowl last year due to a gimme pick being dropped by Tartt.

Just like dak was lucky greenlaw dropped that pick that would of definitely ended the game.

you NEED luck to win it all. Luck with injuries, luck with turnovers, luck with weather, etc etc. it's just a part of the game and it's sucks, but it's the truth.

a great example is the bears game - the rain really did pour when we were on offense later in the game and would stop or drizzle when the bears had the ball. Hahaha it's no excuse, we still should of won - but it's a perfect example of one team getting lucky and it has a material impact in the game.
