A 6 month recovery from the 7th of March would be around the 5th of September.

My understand is that he starts to throw 2-3 months into recovery.

They have a type of surgery for baseball players that has them throwing after 3 weeks and ramping up from there on a 6 month time table..... There is a chance Brock is still a part of Training camp even if he is on a throwing restriction.

I don't know what is going to happen for Brock, but I hope they go nice and slow with him. I think he is the future of the franchise, so I hope they let him take as long as needed.

With Lance on the roster there is zero reason to rush him back. The team has to know what Lance is capable of regardless. This sucks to have hurt guys, but there is a silver lining to it. The 49ers and Lance need to get Lance reps and opportunity.

Yup, there's video of Nick Mullens throwing 3 months after having the internal brace placed to repair his UCL. Mullens was actually the first NFL QB to have that procedure done in 2021, so I would assume Purdy would be the 2nd

CORRECT... but no need to RUSH him... we have Trey and we need to see what type of QB we have here.. he's not played for a while now and screw the measurement, it's time to find out if he'a gem or a jello..
I would imagine we'll hear something today about whether Brock's surgery will in fact take place early next week. Fingers crossed!

think how long ago the game was and he still has not had the surg thanks to the swelling.. this is terrible.

Probably didn't help that he kept throwing after the injury.

Im trying to stay hopeful that things aren't that bad and surgery turns out fine, but part of me is nervous that it might be worse than initially predicted.

That was already debunked. Dr. David Chao (that throwing would cause worse injury or permanent damage.

he also said the timeline for recovery (that SF/media) was pretty optimistic….and that was before the delayed surgery.

Yah that certainly didn't help but it was the NFC Championship game and they were still in it till halftime so him staying warm and seeing what he was capable of is understandable.

I don't have any nervous feeling that the injury is worse than expected and I feel his youth will be a factor in healing right up. I hope I am right.

That's good to hear. But I still don't see how it would've helped the situation.

That's great if timeline hasn't been affected. I was under the impression that they won't really know until he's under the knife.

I don't see how that would make things better. At least one doctor, Dr Chao said it wouldn't have made things worse, so that's good to hear.

I don't blame anyone for keeping him in the game. I'm sure they didn't know the extent of the injury at the time.

I hope your right also, that he's able to heal right up.

I have been waiting to see the back end of this play... BCB said he had BA for a strike and it looks to be the case... could have been a scoring play
"Saying Brock has to work on his internal clock, understanding of protections, & pocket awareness" is ignorance.

Yah man, fingers crossed! The 49ers should be fine though. Trey should have a great understanding of the plays, given he has three years in the playbook now.

If he can pick up where BP left off, considering BP is still injured come camp, the 49ers should be fine. If he can't, cut him and take your losses.

This is my first time back on the zone since the game so pardon me if this take has already been presented but I don't expect to see him on the field in a meaningful game until the 2024 season. Just a hunch
