It's good that it's a short week in that there is no time to relish in the hype from this past Sunday - immediately back to the grind.

And after 3 games, we will start to get a really good feel on what type of QB Purdy is currently, what he does well, and what he can improve on.

Meh lance in his short amount of time moved around in the pocket to extend plays pretty damn well for someone with his limited reps.

like I said to you yesterday this isn't a lance vs Brock vs Jimmy thing. Jimmy looked a little better this yr moving around, but he's not remotely close to our others. It's not his thing overall. No need for whataboutisms.

It isn't a Lance v Brock thing. It is who is the best QB to start for the 9ers. Injuries aside Brock so far is the best of the 3 right now. His mobility is the best of the 3 and he is reading the field better than the other two, and his completion % is better as well. Of course it is a small sample size but he is looking pretty good so far and all the talking heads around the league are singing his praises.

You agree, injuries aside, that he is the best QB on the team right now?

Exactly this. I wasn't criticizing Shanahan. I was just saying what I think Shanahan shouldn't be doing.

I have seen a light turn on in shanny with purdy that I haven't seen with Jimmy or Lance or any other qb.

The play-calling hasn't been different. The way the QB is executing those plays and how they've played when pressured imo has been different. Brock is moving/feeling pressure much better than Jimmy, which is creating positive outcomes.

Moving/feeling pressure much better than Jimmy and Trey

He does best responding to pressure he sees.

He is playing with an injury this week so I am thinking Kyle will rely more on the run game than passing, particularly given the Seahawks have a garbage run defense. So I don't think tomorrow's game with show a lot about Purdy that we can take away. Well maybe if he is tough and can play well with a core injury?

Absolutely. He handled the one he didn't see okay though. Just got up and got straight back into it with a fine pass.

Lol found this from August

Thats true, so after the WA game would probably give us the best overview of Purdy.

Purdy is going to become a star tomorrow night in prime time.

He's already a star at this point after beating TB. It was America's game of the week. I've seen so many football shows talking about him.

But the legend will grow bigger for sure.

Sure hope so, needs to play smart because the Hawks are going to come after him and probably play dirty since he's injured.

Dude no one mentioned lance in that post. They were talking about Jimmy and his play vs Brock and what the difference was and why. You tossed in Lance because of your own emotions towards him and your constant defending of JG throughout the years.

The sample size between Brock and Lance imo isn't even worth saying who's better at this pt. There simply isn't enough data to formulate a legit opinion on it. Jimmy has yrs worth of film and we can at this point figure out who he is and isn't.

Imo we have two very young promising (and overall cheap) QBs that will be on this team for the next couple years. That's a good thing. Jimmy will go get paid elsewhere.
